It's a sport in the same way non sport-sports are sports. Get it...these dudes don't just play for fun. They play to win. It's called the game for a reason.
define hit. he just doubled is youtube subscriber count in 2 weeks. He has gotten recognition from many platforms. eminem dropped his name when he talked about artists he likes. Do your research. His story telling has gotten him this far.
Joyner Lucas a different breed of a lyricist!!! Us minorities needed that "I'm Not Racist" song. It really put things in perspective, from both sides. This nigga got BARS & his flow sick asf. Logic nice, but his pen game not as strong as Joyner. Plus Joyner can direct vids. Very rare for a rapper to cast his own characters. So versatile.
It's also good just on a surfcace level. He's helping show itls ok to actually talk to people you donl't agree with. Unfortunately that's rare these days and we're all worse off for it.
I'm not racist was a cool video but he still gave the white man a pass. maysonne if I spelled it right has a I'm not racist video that really tells it form the black perspective.
I don’t want Joyner Lucas to watch what he says bc I think he’s a very creative person and I wanna hear what he raps about with no filter to get good quality music.
@@zombieslayer2479 I very much appreciate that he makes his videos before he creates his song for said video. Total different approach to something. Love the creativity!
A lot of people are getting fed up with the new bullsh*t "hip hop". This is why rappers like Cyhi, Krit, Joyner, Cole, and Kendrick are blowing. Give it 5 years and lyrical rappers will be back on top running hip hip again. This new wave is on the way out and I can't wait!!
The problem is it's not the adults 21-28 or so that is in charge of what's hot. It's the kids 15-18. It's there generation. They want mumble rap or wavy rap. So it's really up to them what direction hip hop goes in
This dude really gets the infuence he has and lives up to it but respect their own life choices, something many artists forget about this day and age, mad respect to joyner for this
Not saying he isn't wise, but your surley doesnt need to be wise to say the things he was saying on the interview, he's just saying the obvious and is making common sense. That's why I rock with Joyner. Real ass dude. His music is fire 2 !!
Ibramovic Membappe how were not fucked were good cause Joyner can actually rap he doesn’t sound like he has a dick in his mouth like all the other mumble rappers
@@Tingting112 how is we fucked? Joyner would save hip hop. Have you not heard him rap? He could eat and spit all these mumble and new age rappers right back out when he raps. He hating on him or just a kid
@@justingaethje8632 damn. Shut up about eminem. We know eminem is the king of rap but give Joyner some credit too. Can he get some credit without you saying eminem?
Aqua Nigga Mcqueen Of course. Wayne aint been right since Carter 2. That was right before skateboarding and being a punkrock rapper took over his mind.
thevictimofawhale lil Wayne popularized drug use in rap like it's cool and gun talk just for the sake of it while rocking skinny jeans.. Face tats.. Kissing men in the mouth.. Just saying and doing whatever tf he wanted just because he had money.. Majority of these new age rappers with the mumbling and drug use rap.. Idolize lil Wayne.. The evidence points toward him as a key source for what we see today.
Wesley King, Bc they know he a threat to anyone out. They don't want him messing with their money that they invested into garbage to keep the people lost. Facts, bc this guy is above anythingi been hearing, but yet he's not being played like the B.S. Negative songs they want you to hear. SMH.
im not racist was dope just the way it was, i don't know what others are talking about saying the black side should of been more aggressive lol...really?
bobby cole heck yea. U can't see that??? White dude calling him the n-word over and over....please. I know some dudes that would have made the Black side truly rip the head off of the white cats side. But I respect what Joyner said he was doing.
I respect this cat. But see he really has stand up morals. Yet this day and age most dudes simply are into whatever is trendy. It's very rare to hear a dude say, I don't like artists who promote doing drugs. I super respect that. ✊✊✊
the "angry black man" is not what we need to see right now, we get enough of that on a daily..but im sure if it was real life, yea..he would of ripped dudes head off
i agree 200%..we don't hear alot of rappers that hates the drug pushing, joyner is definitely on his way to being a goat in the industry if he's not already
Interesting to hear him say that the black character from "I'm not racist" was the one who went the high road and was the one who took the first step towards agreement cause for me both sides were evenly wrong and hateful towards each other. Only at the end did they both take the right step to a resolution.
Did u not hear what he said it wasnt suppose to be that either was wrong or right it was just to start a conversation and she'd more light on the subject people like you are the reason the conversation never reaches the level it should
Eminem was the first person i heard talking about taking pills. Slim Shady LP had a fuckin pill on the actual CD. Love that album and remember hearing it the first time, but the pill shits been a long time coming. Especially with the lean culture
Jay Banks how is that a diss, when Jay said "in the future playing football with your son" was that a future diss? He was just spazzing. No disrespect he said
I hate when people try to down people that speak facts and bring out the truth, Smh people too scared to handle the truth in this society and will use a diff topic as a distraction.. Besides, I agree, Joyner right..
Aside from the fact that his music is pure gold, he has such a wonderful personality, and mindset. I love the fact that he doesn’t need crazy hairstyles or tattoos to get recognized. Bless you 💖
bro @ 25:50 I hope I can be 1 of those next new England or Worcester rapper to come threw the door ... I was kinda bitter when I realized I wouldn't be the first to shine the light on Worcester hip hop but now I'm proud to say I know Joyner & people from his camp & that he paved the way & open the door for people in Worcester hip hop scene like me or who ever else
At the 27:55 park he helped and inspired me more than anything I’ve ever heard or seen on the internet. That’s the best indirect advice ever said by anyone. Let’s all learn for this. We spend too much time watching every one else’s lives instead of getting ourselves together. Social media and entertainment news can make a person depressed. Thank you for that gem 💎
Joyner Lucas that dude they kept in a hip hop penitentiary until hip hop needed help, needed a voice from the past, proficizing the future of all things that are needed to evolve the game. Yo, if you over 30 you’ll see his influences and if you under 30 then he’s the throw back of hip hop that Hail Marie’d what’s really real!
Yes Ebro you are completely right. We as a people are obligated, in the face of discrimination, to have to take the high road in order to not be subjected to the “stereotypical black person.”
makes sense/ see we are doing the most protest and complaints then we have to make solutions to the situation. cant just point out problems and have no solutions to them
I recently discovered Joyner, I know I'm late (late to everything) but I love his music! He is an artist who paints a picture in the mind! Thanks to him he inspired me to write and I appreciate him for it! Best to him always!!
I absolutely love Joyner. I am glad that he is starting to get the recognition he deserves. He is a extremely talented artist who does things a little different than most. I love his concept based songs/stories, and how his music always has a narrative that evokes emotion as well as positive conversation. Artist like him are rare to find, and bring a lot to hip-hop.
This is Joyner Lucas....👉... Shout out to all human beings because we all are in this thing called life together!!!!This guy is way past the Radar ..JOYNER is already a beacon of hope for HIP HOP PERIOD
i have a become a huge fan of this man in the past weeks, almost ashamed of myself that it took me this long to find his music, some of us have been waiting for an artist like him for a long time now. we cannot sleep on him and must support him.
saw the "im am racist" video today and have been watching all of his music videos. This man is incredibly talented and will continue to make great songs. Im excited to see what he has for the future. Joyner Lucas keep doing you man you are a genius.
