This is a real PLUS! Thanks for adding the time stamps for the individual sounds. I hate demo videos that some guy just labors on one sound forever, and you try to click to a setting you want to hear.
I just got this pedal and so far I can tell you that it is great! Not just for the price, it actually beats the crap out of many more expensive reverb pedals. The sound options are incredible, same as the controls. Basically it went way over my expectations. Lets see how it stands in the long run in terms of quality and durability. So far built quality looks good to me.
@@adrianfoote8281 yes it is! But mine is not going out on the road. In terms of built quality I would give it an 8/10 just because I don’t like the knobs.
Max out the mix on "rewind", run it into a Fuzz=My Bloody Valentine/Shoegaze on the cheap! Overall, it sounds good, slightly sterile and cold. Nothing that an EHX Analogizer can't fix (most underrated pedal ever?). EDIT: Just got mine and it's worth every penny. So is that EHX, I'm getting another one.
Fine demo, thanks. You hear what you need to hear from this box and 10 mins fly by pleasantly. Edit: I have owned one of these for about 3 years now and it is one of my core FX. The sounds are excellent and the tweakability is tremendous. 10/10.
With the possible exception of the *really* high-end gear like Source Audio Ventris, GFI Specular Reverb V3, and the mighty tube-based T-Rex Roommate 2, I agree. This sounds as good as any Boss or TC Electronic pedal.
Great review! Thanks! I've been looking at the Oceans 11 for a while, but it's too expensive for me right now. This is in the ballpark and just over half the price. No brainer. I will Shoegaze!
@SRguitar - This is a great demo of this pedal. What I wish you would have done was after demonstrating the sounds, put other effects in line, like a overdrive/distortion pedal in front to show how well it works with other pedals in the chain. All these sound great clean, but..... otherwise, A+
Woww! Great demo man! This is definitely my next reverb pedal. This goes to show that with the big name pedal companies, they are mostly charging for the name, rather than having something nobody else can make and Joyo is killing it. By the way, I'm following you from now on. Greetings from Colombia (Kolumbien, aus Deutsch? Das ist correct?)
They are also charging for higher labor costs. That gets passed on to the consumer. Not saying that the Chinese cos. employ "slave labour", but they can undercut the West on labour costs. It's economy of scale/"free" market stuff.
So sad... I just splurged on an Old Blood Noise Dark Star! This is honestly a little less or maybe just as versatile in my opinion. Granted the Dark Star has so cool fx that this doesn’t have, but man I would have liked to have saved a little and on a reverb pedal. Next time. No reason I can’t have two. 😁 Fantastic review. Subscribed here!!
Does that chorus sound cut through the mix that well straight out of the amp? Through headphones it sounds like you have an MXR chorus on at about 2:35, if that’s just the reverb pedal than that is sick
Maybe it's me, but this pedal just seems like it doesn't give the player enough control... it appears to be all presets based. I've seen several reviews of this pedal and everything sounds so similar. Idk. Call me ignorant. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice looking pedal.
Trails, dude. "Trial" is what happens when you steal a Reverb and go to Court where the Magistrate might Spring something on you and you could end up in Chambers...unless you plead out and they Bypass the process. I'll show myself out.
Oh wow good thing I read this comment before I bought this thing on Amazon, thank you that would drive me absolutely nuts I didn’t even notice that it doesn’t have a level knob what the hell
If anyone else is having problems seeing what is written on the pedal in this video (like I was) you can see the words here: i.pinimg.com/originals/7b/2c/a5/7b2ca5cb542d5d2143ec388c01d8c287.jpg
@@davidrussell8918 personally, i use the holy grail, but the EHX Canyon has reverb and about 10 other effects built into it. that's why i mentioned it. red delicious-to golden delicious
Too long decay time on most of those examples. Makes all the modes sound almost the same. How about you try to get some twangy spring reverb instead of endless cave-like "from here to eternity" decay. So can you dial anything else than just HUGE ambient type of reverb sounds out of this pedal at all? Or is it just the poor demo'ing skills?
