The "staff/mace" he wields is a crozius arcanum (High Gothic for "arcane cross"), the staff of office of the chaplain orders (typically, but not always, topped with the the wings of the double aquila as in this example; the forthcoming Ultramarines Primaris Chaplain figure has one of the exceptions).

The biggest issue I've found with this figure (other than the very limited shoulder articulation) is that the chest and torso section are not connected by a ball joint, but by an odd rectangular connector that is not particularly strong. It is very easy to separate the chest from the torso, and once it has come unplugged, it does not want to stay in place again afterward. I am going to superglue the rectangular connector into place and hope that keeps the chest attached to the torso. The torso section is connected to the hip/legs section by a ball joint, which is where its torso mobility and tilt come from. Using a ball joint between the chest and torso would have helped greatly, I don't know why they chose to use a non-ball joint for the upper connector as well.

Ok, so articulation is not terrible except for the arms/shoulders. Meh, I wonder what they will do with the Blood Angels ones, they look different at the shoulder.

I was able to fix his pouldrons by soldering a hole in each one then i used screws to screw them in now he can do a full 360 only down side is you can still see the screws but its better than it was before

Their ultramarines really look awesome. I had not interest in that chapter but the victrix guard and Roboute and, well, even this guy have me starting collecting them. Up to the point I've started reading the books and will probably start ultras in 10th as a 6th army. I wonder how Joytoys have influenced sales for GW...
