This cover brought a new understanding of the song’s lyrics. I started thinking about my reluctancy to let go of a previous relationship. It was like a dream, everything I wanted. It taught me of my own darkest insecurities. Never believing I was deserving of anyone’s love or acceptance. Never ending people pleasing.
