They don't write things down but still take time to actually make the songs work. Jay Z has done this forever and taught others. Pretty much the same process as writing just without a pen. They're not going off the dome.

Back when Denzel was still in brainstorming stages for Taboo, he was live on Instagram just generally talking and I suggested he should hit JPEG for a collab. He actually saw my comment and said he was familiar with some of his stuff and after taking like 5 sec to think he seemed enthusiastic with the idea. Back then I had been listening to both of em for a bit and was kinda dreaming of the collab. Not saying I was a catalyst in it happening, but kinda crazy how sometimes things line up to make dream collabs happen.
denzel is probably the best hip hop artist atm, his discography is so diverse man, like he kills everything he attempts, plus he's buddies w other sick ass artists like jid, zilla and idk which is always a bonus
I wish his voice was a little more aggressive or potent like how it became in 2013 on that song cause that shit was like the accidental masterpiece of the whole Raider clan / og LUM era.
