Finished modifying my saddle, can’t wait to try it with double rope redundant self tending ascender hitches with garda and munter ; and two tether cinch with munter.

Excellent. I am glad to provide some tools for you. Just be safe and take everything slow. Gravity is ALWAYS there, just waiting for us to have a problem. So think everything through.

indeed! yes, started off with several partial climbs gaining confidence and making adjustments. Such as, just redid my garda footloop using tubular webbing, shortened it and cleaned it up after determining the length needed. And my neck strap, shortened that also No what, and with the modified saddle, the bridge loops and lineman loops I use should stay lower with the straps I added . Oh, and actually with the two tether system incorporating your jrb cinch, no need for a munter rappel as one can just step back down reverse of the ascent, but rappelling is nice….

To use the stick for pulling, you can add a piece of small cord (paracord?) from the eye of the hook to the handle of the stick

I am not 100% sure i can picture what you're describing. But the small cord that connects the ring to the carabiner can be paracord. On my stick, i prefer only a hook, which provides optimal control when operating at a distance

Let me try to explain better: to solve the problem of the stick disassembling if you try to use it to pull, you could tie a small cord to the base of the hook and connect it to the handle in such a way that it's taut when the stick is fully extended. In this way, when you use the hook to pull, you would effectively be pulling on the cord, and not on the stick, so the stick wouldn't disassemble.

@@ing.pagano ah, yes, very clever, that should work. Also, i did find some hiking/trekking poles (and painting poles) which have clamps between the sections and can't pull apart with reasonable force. I will keep the website updated: jrbtreeclimbing.com/
