about the school thing, ever since Persona 3, the Persona series has had 2 core gameplay styles. for most of the time, you're a student, working on your Academics, Courage, and Charm. you go to school, hang out with friends, buy equipment, watch movies, etc. on the other hand, you enter the Dark Hour. you make your way through Tartarus (this game's big dungeon), fighting shadows, improving characters, and slowly making your way to the top of Tartarus. I won't give too much. the game will explain the rest

P3RE used unreal engine. P5 uses an engine made specifically for the game. Basically Catherine was their test game with the new engine, which they used for P5. Idk why they decided to change to Unreal, after spending so much time making the persona engine, but it could be cuz the team working on P5 Royal, P3RE, and P6 are mostly newcomers. The old ppl who made P3-5 left after P5 to make a different game. So for ease of access they likely jumped to Unreal cuz it would create good results AND be easier to use.
