Absolutely no one in Edmonton or McDavid care what J.S Giguere thinks.....why does someone in Vancouver?

The game was about the Stanley Cup - the game is bigger than the player. SO maybe McDavid was respecting the Panthers who won the cup and didn't take a ME moment. Maybe if someone from the losing team wins the Conn Smythe, don't present it on the ice?

You said it, the situation was awkward, if he were held on ice or the whole thing happened right away I'm sure he would have accepted, but maybe the responsibilities of the captain after the game are different than a goalie , idk. It could have been a selfless thing in his mind to support his team and not go collecting awards in their failure, like imagine going BACK to the room after that and having to talk to them about how he cares more about winning than awards, well he showed them. Besides, what is Gary trying to do, just get a really good pic of Mcdavid crying about losing the cup as he's smiling for the photo? Twisted tbh

Why don't Giguere mind his own business. Mcdavid was most likely very emotional. and did not want to go out there in tears. Give it up jiggy

😂😂😂bigger than the individual 😂😂😂😂 it says on the back of the ticket for entertainment purposes only.... fine print. At the end of the day kinda crazy that the team that wins the cup didnt have a guy who deserved that trophy..... 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. So who gets to "pick" and "choose" that trophy winner. Or should i say vote for......

Giving this guy the spotlight to comment once, ok, but I find myself not caring at all anymore. It was such a nothing of a controversy and a problem that lasted like a moment on the night of the cup. McDavid is such a big positive influence on hockey, I hope he stops high-sticking guys (that was straight up something new from him in the playoffs), but he has been like a posterboy for sportsmanship hasn't he? I think the only criticism is that he didn't come out and say exactly what he was doing, because I think in terms of being an example there might be other lessons to be learned there

You mean the accidental high stick on Hughes I take it? It happens, it was an accident, it wasn't purposeful. I wish two 6'6+ 240lb plus dmen wouldn't gang up on a star player after a win and try to deliberately hurt him. Got what they deserved in the end though - Karma eh (as in an absolute butt whipping in games 6 and 7)
@ipwnreviewer
@ipwnreviewer 25 дней назад
@@KptKrunch9481 I forget some of the specifics but I remember counting 3 different really cheap high-sticks, the Hughes one was just a big deal because of the no-call. I'm right there with you as an Oilers fan, but those particular plays were a blemish on an otherwise clean record.
