At 3:04 don’t take off the Kapton tape like I did 🤦‍♂️ I thought it was meant to be removed but it’s there to stop contact with the steam deck internals

So cool of them to send this to a channel of your size, you deserve more subs man! At some point I want to replace my backplate for a transparent one, both for the looks and better cooling. Might get the rgb because why not! Im not the biggest fan but it cant hurt as a feature

Thanks for the comments! I need to do more videos but really struggling to find the time! I don’t think you can go wrong with either the back plate to be honest. JSAUX also sent me the full shell replacement but I don’t fancy doing that one!

its amazing, sadly it pains me that im not a fan of transparent stuff, never liked the idea u_u maybe someday they make one with only the grips transparent or something along those lines

What theme settings are you using to get those backgrounds and animated game cards?

The backgrounds you are seeing are actually the game specific artwork. I changed these to animated ones for some games using steamgriddb plugin.

It was in vain to remove the Kapton tape from the backlight control board - it is glued so that the boards do not accidentally touch each other

Looked like protective tape to me? It was lose so thought it was meant to be removed 🤷‍♂️

The JSAUX cooling fan takes in the hot air from the top of the steam deck vent. I think it would actually block the fan on the back of this particular case, making performance worse

Which ui plug in are you using for the game thumbnails?

I’m using various themes using css plugin, and then I’ve changed some of the artwork to animated ones using steamgriddb plugin. I have videos on both if you wanted to take a look 👍

It doesn’t fit on the led model due to a piece with a cw on it trying to find a work around

Yeah, the internal are slightly different. I’m sure JSAUX will release OLED specific models in the future

It might be rubbing on the case - sometimes these third party cases don’t fit perfectly.
