This stuff is great! I’m new to the pcp thing and you explain better than anyone else I’ve watched. I’m not willing to go to 4300 lbs. I would guess it could handle double under testing. Like the climbers in the background they can actually hold triple your body weight. It’s govt bs. Thanks !

Hey Jeremiah, great videos by the way.. How about a test on the Airacuda like the Buck Hunter said and back off on the valve spring nut and see what kind of numbers you get. That would be an interesting video. Thx Hunter

Great Info. I tuned my Airacuda Max .25 to shoot the JSB king diabolo 25.39g. reg at 2600 to start, and careful hammer spring adjustment. No valve spring cap adjustment yet. I Get 956 fps. 51.54 foot pound. And JSB Hades at 26.54gr are at 926 to 922. 50.45 ft/lb. With the reg set higher I can full 20 shots maybe the last 2 drop to 900-895 fps. I don't shoot past 2000 psi on reg. But I think my gun still shoot when the regulator is 1750. So I don't worry about shooting past my reg. Also I fill at 4000-4300.

So I am in Norman county MN. I shoot on the Red River. Red squirrel and coyote. MN is stupid strict on regs made by people who are totally in experienced. Long story short, when I adjust a hammer spring I do it like a sprint car. 1/8th. 1/16 back My reg settled now to 2575psi. I don't know if I can or how to share the chrono results. So I can screenshot and send it. I was just so surprised that what I did worked, and I all was doing setting up my airgun and watching my minnow trap.

Hello, I brought my Airacuda Max out for slug test. 885 fps. Upped my reg to 2800 to start. Then hammer spring adjustments. My low start was 763 fps. 20 shots 1 fill. (4300lb fill). Still trying to figure out how to share my chronograph info. I used HN 25 cal 32g. HP. WOW !

Very good content Jeremiah. I'm actually watching DAR and JTS videos to help me decide on the DAR Gen 3. I was concerned with the lower power level (especially with DAR having shorter barrel). I like the DAR more for certain reasons (for me, DAR stock is the way to go. It looks better for me and I don't need pistol grip or adjustable comb). Longer barrel I prefer, but no biggie. Dual air pressure gauge or single, no biggie. Even though I felt DAR might be in the lower power spectrum (originally I thought might be too low), I was looking for something simple, cheap but well made and accurate to shoot my lighter pellets (.177, .22 and .25...I thought DAR Gen 3 was available in .177; I guess not) so I don't have to tune down my other toys to shoot lighter pellets. You've made a very informative video. Thank you. This helps me decide to get the DAR (.22 and .25....I was just looking at the .22; but now it seems that even for the .25 I can be happy with the power and velocity DAR Gen 3 can produce after tuning it up a bit for more pressure/power; but not to HP level). Again, my goal was to use my lighter pellets accurately and conveniently. Thank you bro. Keep it going!

Nice way to explain and show what you did and how you do it. I’m also new to the pcp world. I have a bt65sb Hatsan 22 cal and even tho it says 55fpe from factory, you think I be able to turn it up to atleast 65fpe using the same method or steps you did on your aircuda? Also keep the videos coming I keep watching and supporting you channel. Interesting to see what else you can come up with 🤙

Firstly, great videos, keep them coming. I watch them over and over again and each time I have more questions to research. Secondly, if you want more power, change the hammer spring compression to a higher k value and compress the hammer spring compression to 50% ' give me your hammer spring free length. outside diameter, wire diameter and total number of coils and I will tell you the springs K-value, which will probably be between 8 to 30 pounds per inch then increase the k-value two notches above your springs k-value and start bringinging the regulator pressure up until the velocity plateuse then regulator back 4% for maximum power and air efficiency. The shot count? what about it? Power and shot count are on each ends of a teetertotter with the fulcrum being the amount of usable air from cylinder pressure down to regulator pressure. Do you know the main tube and plenum volumes? if you give those values plus the great data you give in your videos along with the ambient temperature in your shop range, I can calculate down to the number of average air molecules per shot and per fpe then you can compare apples to apples. Lastly, numbers don't lie, but you can lie with numbers, and the laws of physics are not just really good ideas. FJB Out!

You don't know what you're doing, and the information you're providing will get someone hurt. First of all, never overfill the air chamber. Going to pressures beyond recommended limits will cause a failure. And high pressure vessels fail with surprising amounts of energy. Do NOT use any petroleum lubricants on high-pressure o-rings or seals. Under high pressure they can ignite and explode. As for adjusting the regulator, follow the manufacturer's instructions which can be found here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vNRJ9lZQbN0.html

How come when I turn the hammer spring screw in more then 3 turns in i can no longer cock the side lever?
@themichiganoutdoorsman

My only guess would be the spring is so bunched up after three turns in, it will not allow the bolt to travel back and engage the seer on the trigger group. I have the same issue if I turn my screw in too far.

What does that springy twang sound mean? Does it mean the hammer spring needs to be tightened or loosened up? My groups are 2 1/4" at 50yds and it twangs pretty loud. I have the 22 cal and I'm shooting 20.2 slugs.
@themichiganoutdoorsman

@bassmankelly1744 I am not sure because that hasn’t happened to me in my testing. But I would try to tighten everything up including that spring screw to see if it helps. It could be affecting the barrel harmonics

Hey buddy ... that gun will get up to 70fpe you change the valve spring but just start by backing off the valve spring cap for less tension and I promise you will get more power then you need.... having your reg set that high only makes the valve harder to open against that high psi pressure plus having that stiff valve spring pushing against the valve pin only makes it harder.....if you change that valve spring you'll be able to turn that gun into a monster

@eddiecahall3824
@eddiecahall3824 Год назад
@@gabrieltiso8537 the actual barrel sits inside a shroud most all models in the pcp air rifle world. If you look up the specs on this model online, the actual is like 17" which is pretty short for air rifle and not very capable of superior accuracy at long distances. You want an good pcp rifle to be at least 19.7" or around 20" on up for long distance or superior accuracy/both. the Air Venturi Avenger model has a 23" barrel. Therefore making it the better choice bargain regulated pcp rifle. Alot of the ones you see here on UTube making really long shots with superior accuracy have good long barrels on them which speeds up the projectile more therefore requiring heavier projectiles therefore making it more accurate. Barrels have different twist rates as well. Slower, faster. Kinda like muzzle loader stuff. So you have to pay attention to all these things when choosing for the need. Also pellets are all different. Some use in fast rate twist barrels and then made for slow twist rates. Alot to pay attention to. But it's fun and with the power and technology of the millennium later years, it's just insane awesome! Me being into air power over 40 yrs now, it's like me being a kid in a candy store! I own a huge collection well over 300 air rifles including pcp stuff from .177 all the way up with big bore stuff and up to 82cal. I hunt and pest professionally on 14 big properties, living the airgunnarz dream😁💥💪😱😱😱

Get a slug swage to make your own slugs, some companies that make these swages will actually sell the slugs for you to test before splashing the cash to see if the grouping is good for your airgun. Reason why o say to get one is that slugs made by a machine often vary a whole lot more in weight and caliber (i use a pellet resizer for this reason for consisrency purposes) get a reloaders scale that does 2 decimal places (amazon sells them pretty cheap enough which are good enough for sorting pellets/slugs by weight) for grain measurements and weigh the slugs straight out of the tin, youll see it yourself how much the weight can vary, using a swage the difference is often only at the most a couple hundredths of a grain and due to them being squeezed into the right shape at high pressure they always have the same caliber which means much better consistency with your accuracy so if you are stacking slugs/pellets with unsorted and unweighed ammo youll be able to do it even easier once you remove more variables. Tldr: swaged pellets/slugs are more consistent in caliber and weight resulting in better grouping and you can buy swaged ammo from some companies that sell swages to test for yourself
