Ju Hee Suh (1968-) was awarded second prize in the 1984 Leeds International Piano Competition at the young age of 16, having studied at the Curtis Institute with Horszowski and Bolet. She had also performed with New York Philharmonic under Mehta and at the BBC Proms. Rudolf Serkin said she was one of the greatest talents he had ever heard. Her concerto and recital repertoire was substantial - Ravel, Chopin, Rachmaninoff (2 & 3, Paganini Rhapsody), Prokofiev (1 & 2), Tchaikowsky, Grieg, Schumann, Brahms (1 & 2) etc. Her subsequent career did not flourish for reasons that are unclear.
