Empirexi Oh yeah, horses just love the feeling of dying while their greedy jockey is whipping it and kicking it. Yes, the jockey did well in this race, and so did the horse. But I still think that these races are abuse. And I’m tired of of people like you defending this. Nobody has to calm their shit when it comes to killing animals. Whipping is fine, if it’s on the jockeys boot, but pushing a horse to do something they dont like is not okay. And I havent seen any horse that has been calm at a race track. But all of this is just my opinion ofc

** You are seriously uneducated. I’ve ridden a racehorse (I didn’t race him tho) and all he wanted to do was take off. I didn’t whip him or anything. I ONLY walked on him, I wasn’t trying to make him gallop. He still was trying to. Please do research before looking like an idiot

Ur saying that in England horses are absolutely healthy. That’s not true at all. Yes some horses are, but some if not most horses are not treated as they should. It doesn’t matter if someone with a steady leg wears spires or if someone with a terrible leg wears them. They are still meant for pain ain’t hey are used for pain and they are caused for pain. You can’t expand your mind to anything else but the abuse... You are one of those people that just ignore horse abuse and try to focus on the “brighter side of things” That’s not how life works and if you are going to ignore everything bad that happens, well go ahead and do that but there are some equestrians that are trying.

@@keequestrian7442 You can try all you want, but it'll never change. There is abuse anywhere and everywhere in an animal related sport. There is nothing wrong with using spurs as long as its used properly, there is a right way and a wrong way to use things. Whips I don't necessarily agree with, though animals do have a higher pain tolerance than humans do, I imagine its still has a small sting to it.

Life's Fantasy Horses can actually feel more pain than we can in the places that we would use a crop on them. And I know that abuse will never stop but some things are getting better and if more people wake up to the fact that horses have lives too than maybe the Equestrian world might get a little better. There is hope for the people that do everything they can to make their horse comfortable. I don’t care if a horse is not bothered at all by the spurs, if you have to use anything other than your body and the horse when you are riding, then maybe you are not such a good rider. If you need to use a heavy harsh bit to “control” the horse than maybe you should not be riding because if you did not have the bridle than u would not be able to have control. The equestrian world has a lot of different sides to it but the abuse side is the most abundant.

All I’m saying is that there is an abusive side to riding. There always will be. And if your the kind of person saying “Well horse abuse will never stop so why not just abuse them and act like they are machines.” Then you are one of the many people that need to treat horses better. You need to respect horses and treat them as good as possible no matter how bad your day is going or how bad your life is. They don’t have a say in how their like works. they get pushed aeround and used. Yes, I do ride, and im not saying that what i do is not at all uncomfortable for the horse. But I do try my nest to make the horse as comfortable as possible and I do treat them like they are living things that have feelings. Because thats exactly what they are.

@@sukichan2543 first off I’ve been to school,volunteer at the vet to help with horses,I ride horses (do barrel racing),I have studied many race horses,barrel horses,reining horses and everything and when you whip a horse yes they have less skin cells but they could really care less bc you can’t whip as hard when the horse is running so they aren’t whipping that hard, let me explain bc you need to go back to school so think about it when the horse is running there is wind and so most of the times it shouldn’t bother the horse and the horse doesn’t care a lot of the times. So go back to school I think you need too.

Andreyna Eventing Oh my god, srsly.. you can’t call yourself a horse person if you think bits and spurs are abusive. Bits don’t cause any pain. They are used to control the horse. They used to cause pain back in medieval times because they were spiked, but they don’t now. People don’t use spurs to constantly stab the horse. They use them to get the horse more forward. Horses are big animals, they are much tougher than us. They can handle being tapped with spurs and bits cause absolutely no pain. There are SOME harsh bits, but not ALL of them hurt.

Andreyna Eventing I ride too. I’ve been riding since I was a baby, and I take lessons almost every single day. It seems like you are the one who needs to go back to horse school. Spurs are only used so the horse feels a bit more pressure so they won’t be as lazy. And like I said, not ALL bits hurt horses. There are certain bits that are harsh but that doesn’t mean they all hurt horses. Please, PLEASE educate yourself

Imagine how much being hit that hard with a crop hurts for us now imagine how much it hurts for them when they have thinner skin.
