I didn't know this musical artist, before,, but saw this clip of him on TikTok and I wanted to see more of this performance. His stare into the crowd while playing, was mesmerizing to me. It was as if he was saying..."Do you feel me, do you get me, can you understand me?" So sexy, so deep. Grown folk music. I will check out his other performances now that I've heard his music. Many of us grew up on this… so great to see it cross generations and diversities. Frankie Beverly has had medical challenges so it’s wonderful to see and hear him too. Jubu is a master of smooth especially on this jam and I’m sure others.

Y’all better give Jubu props!!👏🏾👏🏾 His masterful extended solo was a fill-in for Frankie’s vocal struggles😔 I been down with Frankie/Maze since the first album in the 70s and have seen them perform several times but obviously it’s different now… Brother Jubu is such a G that he seldom looked down at his ax while playing, like most musicians do. Same, this performance put JUBU on the map, as far as I'm concerned and never 2 be removed! I mean up there w/all the greats like Jimmie Hendrix, Prince, BB King etc. I absolutely love he commanded the stage so respectfully yet bold and confidently...seriously talented in a way that is indisputable. Lawd when he breaks down and starts dancing, I lose it EVERY TIME and I know I've watched this more than I can count!!! The playfulness between skill and art is just mesmerizing and the finale, OMG ... I see why the crowd went wild BECAUSE it has the same affect on me, each and every time. Every soul on the stage was stirred by his performance, that which comes from the heart reaches the heart. I could go on and on but I digress with ENCORE!!!!!!!
