It's hard to say, some songs definitely are. But some IM songs are heavier than JP songs also. Although I think IM never made a song as heavy as Painkiller, let's say. Yes, I would say JP is in general a bit heavier than IM, not necessary better.

Agree with all said. Stained Class is their best and my favorite. I think the reason for the non celebration was because of all the terrible memories tied to Better By You Better Than Me. All because two sets of miserable parents could not do their jobs properly and save their children. I can still see Robs face at that trial. Just horrible.

I've been low-key shitting myself with laughter for a while that the lead singer Rob Halford was gay and wrote a song called "grinder" about looking for meat. And somehow at the same time period Freddy Mercury overshadows his thing as the "gay rocker pioneer". Both fucking legends but my money is on Rob for writing grinder, lad was way ahead of his time by pure accident hahaha.

A few of us were bikers, no club, just rode Harley`s. We had felt it when this album came out. He was now in full leather, holding a bullwhip on stage. His lyrics were that of a man in turmoil. He was trying to tell us that he was gay, without saying it for fear of hate. We never thought of him as some gay dude. We basically said, "We hear you, and we don`t give a shit about you being gay". Some even applauded him for being bold in a world of angry alpha male dudes. I was one of those dudes. You do you my man, an d we still love you as a brother!

After being totally in love with Unleashed In The East which my first copy I taped from a radio broadcast with my 8 track player. I listen to it so many times. I went out and got the record. Priest was my favorite group and served to inspire my love and interest in music that lives strong in me to this day. British Steel had just come out and Living After Midnight was my favorite current song. One of the all time greatest bands.

Which makes me think: there actually was once a time in the U.S., not that long ago, when one's politics were almost irrelevant.
