@brianestelle6067 he isn't going to do that, besides mustaine solos are easy to transcribe and I haven't had an issue with tabbing with his solos, they are easy cause they follow a pattern and have basically been tabbed to death
It's a great video and thank you for it. It's one of my favorite songs (and album) for decades. I don't know if I should try to play this or quit playing at this very moment, I feel complicated.
I want to suggest that the mutes in the arpeggio are there through "poor" technique and left in as they don't sound bad, they sound nice and raw however...I'd argue a little that certain things sound muddy due to being too raw and lack of honing.
i have never seen anyone cover it properly, it just "sort of" sounds correct fast enough since mustaine is probably just playing random notes on the scale
thank you so SO much for your lessons and videos! If I had to make a suggestion for a really fun video or even a series for the channel, I'd recommend you try to transcribe and play all the solos created by Judas Priest's KK Downing and Glenn Tipton for the amazing videogame Brutal Legend (even some of them are very similar to certain licks from Painkiller and other JP's songs). There are like 30 solos, and they are 2-10 seconds long. It would make a really funny video!
thank you so much for posting this really indepth and helpfull, there isnt a more helpful youtuber than you Bradley on my guitar jounrey keep on rocking!
I think the sixth note is meant to be a repeat of the third that he missed, tbh. It would make more sense than what you have, but keep it. That way you know it's yours when some clever clogs comes along and plagiarizes your work.
After watching this, I'm just going to sell all of my gear. Why even bother plugging in again.. Super great job Bradley!! Appreciate the time you've taken to put it together. Maybe I'll try some of it!
I'm so glad you've chosen to upload a full lesson of this. I love your videos and you have such a clean style for these, and giving tons more context to learning these songs is always helpful. Wonder if we can see a Dream Theater song with this style eventually 👀
Dude, you deserve a break after this one. I say you take it easy for the next solo video and just show us all how to _really_ play the solo in Smells Like Teen Spirit. lol What an epic video and a note perfect transcription. Wow. Well freaking done, dude.
SEA OF LIES. You know the part! ( I do not understand how Romeo's hand mutes the g string when ascending back up the wacky string skipping tap arpeggio) This was a REALLY helpful, awesome, and accurate breakdown. I'm 100% trying this tonight.
Can't imagine, Bradley you were mocking a lot who used to teach solos step by step...and non? What happened? Anyway you got a very particular style of teaching
