This song really needs no introduction. Just a great song by JP that I thought would be fun to do.
I will make a small side comment:
I remember when JP started to take a turn away from songs like Painkiller, Screaming For Vengeance, etc. and doing more commercial things, and the crap they took from their audience as “selling out“.
But I actually think that it’s the more commercial songs that they did that expanded their audience and give more people the opportunity to check out their entire catalog.
Just my two cents! With that said, it’s time to break the law!

One of my best buddies was a serious Priest fan. He introduced me to this song in 1990. Ever since, this song has always made me think of him. He passed away unexpectedly a month ago. He was only 53. RIP, Les. Well done, Ken.

Anytime a singer attempts to cover the "Metal god" Rob Halford.... there's some challenges. However;Ken- you sang your ass off on this one! + That short guitar solo👍. Would be nice to cover something from Priests' Point of Entry album(underrated) & one of my favs, -melodic & a dial setting of 8 of 10; compared to some of the band's other hardcore material. Keep the 🪨 alive, bro!!!

It's curious what happens with some staple songs (AC/DC and 'Highway to hell', Black Sabbath and 'Paranoid', Deep Purple and 'Smoke on the water'... you name it): you take them so much for granted that you no longer pay attention to them and don't realize that they are not easy to sing at all, at least if you want to give them the intention and the groove they deserve. In this case, as usual, Mr Tamplin just nailed it. Congrats!!

Can I honestly say that I wasn’t sure how this would sound before you started. Not because you aren’t awesomely talented, you obviously are, but because Rob Halford has such a unique voice and it’s hard to do JP justice, in my opinion. I’m not a huge fan of JP but I do really like some of their stuff. All I can say after hearing is……WOW WOW WOW!
