When you watch the actual video you can tell from Rob's body language that there's no audience. I remember beeing very irritated when I watched the video back in the day and the shots of the audience came into frame. It just didn't fit.
That Metallion.... as much as I hate to say it, that’s Molech..... so far as I know.... their horned cross also represents that same devil. scary thought that these guys would be a part of that. It’s okay to make things to show how sick some parts of this world have been and still are though, hopefully that’s all they are doing is reminding people that extreme evil exist and to try and avoid it... kind of “NEVER AGAIN!!” Type thing. Anywhos!!!! What happened to your VHS, you leave it out in the garage for twenty years under a hot tin roof!?! lol
Saw the video as a kid when I was a mega Priest fan and I didn't quite like it. Seeing it now I can see why. It was slow, prodding, no rhythm, lacked life. The song itself was not a good selection. Rock Hard Ride Free or Sentinel would've been better choices because the intent was to use MTV to put out songs people might like so much they would buy the album. Love Bites was not that kind of song. But Defenders was about 2 great songs shy of being complete. The stage set which I saw live was the same. Looked sort of cool at first but it was a distraction from the stage at times. They had laser lights in the eyes that scanned everyone which seemed cool. There were fireworks in the guns at the top that went off at the end. But really, that sort of contraption is not rock and roll. If you watch Priest live at the 83 US Festival, that was more like it. I think Rob's suits from 82 to 84 were anti-rock as well. He had a similar but better look in 1990-1992.
