So funny... I was just thinking that. I like maybe 4-5 songs by priest... way down in the favourite band list but this might be my favourite metal tune
Of course it's great it's JUDAS PRIEST. But personally for me it's SAXON "And the bands played on". As with most opinions it's conjecture. It's METAL !! If that's your choice then you ain't ever gonna be far wrong. Peace out ✌🏻🤟🏻👏🏻
Can you imagine being there? 1983. This wasn't a sausage fest, women loved Rock "n Roll and Metal back then. Today, its Country or be a Swifty. 40 years later, Priest is still at it.
Looks gay to you, ok, then dislike? are there any performers like this nowadays? Also, the fact that this guy was gay made him the great front man he is. Do you dislike queen videos too? Bohemian rapsody?
И я тоже в восторге😁👍👍👍🔥Мне недавно приснился сон:встретился мне Роб Хэлфорд (во времена своей молодости)и был мне очень рад,рад нашей встрече.Говорил в основном он.😁👍
This band is incredible they don't perform one song that the whole band doesn't put 1000 percent into .Rob is the best front man in history the man is a legend
@@varshapatel5543 I like those vocalists but they are not on Rob's level. Bruce Dickinson, Ronnie James Dio and Geoff Tate are the only singers that can come close to Rob.
I saw Judas Priest on their Defenders of the Faith tour in 1984. My ears are still ringing 👂👂 😬 Kids these days have no idea how cool shows like this were. Watchin’ this on your phone or iPad is ok, but nothing compared to it live. Gaaawd, how I miss the 80s!
Scott, I was only a kid back then, but I wonder did anyone of your age ever suspect Halford to be gay? I mean watching this in 2017, he is flaming. He is straight out of a gay biker bar. Don't get me wrong, I think he is amazing as a singer.
The funny thing is, I climbed a wall on the left side of the stage and was able to see backstage. I saw Rob Halford sitting on his harley and there were two hot women with him. That said, I couldn't care less what his sexual preference was back then, or now, for that matter. They put on a fantastic set.
Halford's moves...I'm laughing my ass off but at the same time they're the greatest thing in the world and I can't hate it. I absolutely love it. I can't wait to see them live again.
Legendary...in 1984 and today . Just came back from their last show of their current tour in Germany in Bamberg tonight 38 years later but Rob is still the Metal God
You talk about rising to the occasion. They knew exactly how significant this show was. And they took full advantage of the opportunity. And in doing so, delivered one of the greatest live performances in heavy metal history.
yep, yours truly, ME, I was there, what a day! so much human unity, priest is the beast...and this song is the hope of humanity to end the slavery of money..... the fortune is RBE...peace
Seeing these guys live was just an incredible experience. I really don't think I've seen another band with their stage presence, ability to excite a crowd, and simply deliver a performance that you will remember for the rest of your life.
Oh my GOD listen to the crowd loving it! They fucking killed it too but my god everything that went on during priests concert was the best they've ever done I think!
I was there and it was awesome- made eye contact with kk downing and rob Halford - was in left side of stage- I remember as soon as the hellion started ., everyone rushed to see , including me to see them play electric eye- amazing show- hen took a nap after priest while triumph came on lol 😂
Gosh, I haven't watched or listened to Priest in many years, I had the Defenders album when it was released, and now all these years later having been a part time musician it's interesting what stands out about this band... Halford, of course is an ace frontman - very commanding presence, and what a voice! Between the two guitarists, I remember it was always KK Downing who got all the attention because of his looks and moves, but the real star is Glen Tipton - his solos are very technical. I always used to think of the rhythm section as being rather lacklustre, but now when I see this, they're very solid, and on this tune in this performance, the drummer is actually quite dynamic. Funny the things that stand out after time has passed.
So I come across this video and instantly tell myself I need to send this to my dad, I send the video to my dad and write “check out how massive the guitar tone is here “ He writes me back “I was there buddy, 1983 San Bernardino US festival” I instantly called him, and he told me all about the show in detail how unbelievably sick it was 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 just when I thought my pops couldn’t get any cooler , he completely blows my mind with this story. Stay metal my friends 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I used to do this song in a cover band inthe early 90s.. I was playing drums and singing . Trying to sing like Rob was very hard . I gave it my all,, but not even close.
The ones that disliked this have you no "Metal God's" in you? My goodness this is just ass kicking Heavy Metal. Rob could sing Twinkle Twinkle little star & make is Metal.
