What a disgusting woman. I loved it, when the plaintiff presents the letter from the owner. You could see her loosing her confidence in a second. And when she scooped as low as she could and said, that he is strange and she doesn't want him near her children... This is really mean ! If i had children, i would not wan't them to be anywhere near an ugly, greedy cheat, who should be ashamed of herself. Good that this guys were so well prepared and kept being friendly, calm and polite.
What a dreadful landlady! So obviously dishonest, it's plain as day she made up all the damages to her apartment, made up the harassment, made up a magic date they moved out, made up an imaginary letter that was never sent, had no receipts. Whatta crook!!!
You know we always try to make men look bad, especially the ones who are trying. These men were upstanding tenants. Why is she treating then like liars and criminals. As far as i see it, she's a thief...shame on her.
Landlord/tenant are some of my least favorite cases, but I was interested by this one. I respect how the young men were simply well-prepared, non-dramatic, respectful and patient. Take note, peeps. ~~~~ I think many of these 'landlords' don't have the proper business practice of maintaining a security deposit "refund account".

I was renting 5 years ago, last landlord I ever had.... She kept my security deposit AND I was ordered to pay additional damages... For a place I lived in for 3 years... Always on time, never a complaint. I move to ANOTHER DAMN COUNTRY and can't go to the tribunal hearing, that's it, she wins by default. I couldn't believe it.
Not only that, the power was continuously going out (she wasn't paying her bills) And then had the cheek to use the plaintiff's photos to advertise for new tenants! (ie showing what a beautiful place it was).
Let me just say, Juan is the freaking man! He always has control in that courtroom! That face on this one, when he’s reading the defendant, knowing she’s about to interrupt the judge, and he shuts her down before she can even start, talking about, “don’t do it…(shakes head, like..no) don’t”. That’s an awesome officer, one who can read people, and predict what they’re working on inside their head! I always know when I hear his voice instead of the female officer at the beginning of the case that it’s gonna be a good episode! Hands down-He’s the best! I’m totally team Juan! And it doesn’t hurt that he’s a total hottie!💜
I don't get why people feel like they are entitled to other people's money by scamming, lying, cheating, and/or stealing. Really irks me. If the defendant truly got a 2,000 estimate on damages, why wasn't she counter-suing for 2,000 dollars? She instead counter-sued for harassment which is laughable because the co-plaintiffs hardly seem the harassing type. Their calm composures just made her look like a liar. This lady can't be that ignorant of what harassment truly is. She probably knew her 2,000 "claim" wouldn't fly so she'd try for harassment which miserably failed. Such a shame she was a scammer because that cottage was adorable.
So many people DO NOT GET how far being polite, respectful, and prepared gets you in court, esp when it comes to credibility. This lady saw an opportunity to swindle them out of money and pounced on it 🙄

The second case.......Juan and Judge Faith Jenkins were on top of their games. The two men were patient, and respectful. The landlord has no business being a landlord. Everyone clearly saw her demeanor which wasn't desirable. Good luck guys. Ma'am you reap what you sow.

Prayers for her next tenant, she pocketed the security and paid the rent with November because she didn't have the money to pay 2 rents. Also made up repairs thinking they we're to naive to go after her in court.
Literally who even cares if they’re a couple, they’re the sweetest, gentlest, most patient tenets you could possibly ask for. Trying to out others isn’t cool tho, stay in your terrible lane.
