depends on the context..... you could be charged and get away with a not guilty...or you could be not guilty because you ARE innocent !

They cannot issue him a punitive discharge for this incident because he was formally acquitted. OTH only comes from getting into a relatively moderate amount of trouble such as going AWOL, petty crimes, etc. Dishonorable discharge only comes from being convicted (found guilty) of committing a felony while in the service. However, this young man will probably request his own discharge from the service and I certainly wouldn't blame him for it. He did not deserve to be scapegoated; nobody does.

Thanks... i was wondering even if he wanted to stay in if the navy would let him stay in seeing how they basically tried to take his life away...even though he was acquitted this will follow him for life....

They cannot give him an other than honorable discharge. He was found not guilty. I don’t believe for a second that he set this fire.

Armando, fires do start by themselves, it is called spontaneous combustion. All it takes is 1 oily rag not properly disposed of. That rag will burst into flames , every mechanic knows this.

@@thomassawicki2065 They did not specify where fire started heard it on phone. That's right about a rag you mentioned. When I was a guard for Texas prison system another guard and I were sent to same unit. He was kitchen officer. Rags used to clean kitchen get sent to laundry. After rags were put in plastic container the rags were still hot from tken from dryer. Well some must had the grease that does all wash out and when container was taken back to the kitchen area that heat builds up with rags inside . That an inmate when into to area rags are taken that rags there a smoldering as if fire was about to start. The guard I was sent there with, they tried to pen it on him that a cigarette was the cause at that time smoking for guards was aloud not for inmates. It s not permitted for guards now. They did not like the guard or myself were new to the unit ,there are this cilques at all this city, county , state, federal levels alot of the work places. The guard let it get investigated and got cleared of the incident. That had to be from the laundry.

If god loved the world so much why does he let kids go hungry? Get raped? Tortured? Abused? Why does he let cancer kill people? No loving god would let these things happen.
