Defence Attorneys don't just help to prove someone innocent but in cases like these where the culprit is guilty for extremely severe charges, their job is to reduce the sentence and punishment. If it wasn't because of them, as you could see in the video he would of gotten the death penalty but instead he got life. I personally think that's worse than the death penalty but oh well it serves him right.

Sometimes the defence does their best to ensure he cannot make any appeals, and can not use any technical tricks to escape. And get paid to help out him away.

I think the judge summed it up perfectly in saying that this was a senseless crime. It never needed to happen and shouldn't have happened. Just imagine if this guy took a few deep breaths before he did what he did, thought it through, and filed for a divorce or separation and then had a relationship with NK. Everyone would have been happy with that outcome, Shanann and the kids would have been able to cope on their own without his help. It just goes to show that in our lives, when we get angry or see red, we should take a step back and have a really good think before we act because the outcome could be devastating otherwise.

J Fox not 100% educated on this topic but this is how i think it works, imagine he only got one life sentence and tried to fight it in court, and in the unlikely chance he won. Now he can get out of prison early. With multiple life sentences even if he fought 3 cases and won all 3 (never gunna happen but IF it did) he still has a 4th life sentence keeping him in prison. It is easy to appreciate what you don’t have. It is easy to ask why, but in reality, when you do have it, you can grow desensitized to it and end up taking it for granted. He is an extreme case, but there are millions of “families” like this where the husband or even the wife cheats because they are bored of their current life.

He was arrested Wednesday August 15th. He annihilated his family on the 13th.

Second best words ever. The better words would have been "I sentence you to death". I'm not a big proponent of the death penalty, but if it was ever the correct punishment, this would have been the time. I live in Colorado and my taxes will go to pay for this monster to live out his life. Hopefully, it won't be a long one.

@@thrasherx2k1 Good question. I don't know if it's a lack of people applying to become correctional officers or budget issues. However, after watching a lot of prison shows I've discovered that if someone wants to do something to someone else in prison they will find a way.

He killed his first daughter by suffocating her and then his other daughter. That's where she asked before "Daddy are you goiing to do the same to me, now?" @RetroSupporter93 I in no way support the evil and despicable actions Chris Watts undertook. His and Breivik's cases highlight the need for capital punishment, and other harsh penalties in place of it. But the alimony and child support points are valid and need addressing. I can't remember fully the cases but I have read of other men who have resorted to extreme measures such as murder and migrating abroad to avoid the crippling financial consequences of divorce. The system is unfair and needs changing.

Exactly. Personally I would chose to be executed rather than do 40 to 50 years in the slammer. At least when you are dead your suffering is over. You no longer exist. Just like you didn't exist for the millions of years before you were born. Personally I believe some good old torture similar to the Tudor period of good old England would be more fitting, but don't let him die.
