DA describes how Chris Watts "coldly and deliberately ended four lives" 

The craziest part is, they caught him so quick (thanks to neighbors and friends) he didn't get to spend one free day with the woman he killed his family for, now that's justice!

For me, Nate the Neighbor was the MVP. He caught him right away by just reading his body language.

He murdered his daughters because they were witnesses. He'll never admit it. Disgusting

it happened about 5 years ago and i still find myself watching this case. the part where Shannon's father is just crying breaks my heart imagine losing your daughter and your grandkids all at one time knowing you gave your daughter away to the love of her life who turned out to be her killer I don't know how many times he probably thinks to himself that he failed at protecting them. this is just heartbreaking

I just can't wrap my mind around the fact he really thought he was just gonna have a new life with his girlfriend??

What he did is pure evil.There are no words.I can’t even bring myself to read details about the children.I’m a 44 year old father to a nine year old and it brings me to tears when I start to think about those children. What he did is unforgivable and I can’t think of one good reason why he deserves to continue to live his life.

The neighbor is a legend. Right off the bat he knew Chris was on some bullshit and said he was suspicious and acting weird.

They should play the recording of his daughter singing "Daddy is my Hero" on a loop in his cell 24/7.

Last night my youngest daughter was throwing up randomly all night. I stayed up and watched her and held her for every moment, wanting to be able to take her pain onto myself. The fact that someone could hurt a child is something I cannot understand. My daughter would ask me questions about what she should do and I could see in her eyes she needs her parents to be a rock for her. Someone who would do this to their own child must be a very sick person.

Sometimes I think I am stupid and reckless. Then I remember Chris Watts exists.

He wanted a fresh start? Now he gets one. In prison.

This is the worst crime I've ever looked into, because of how normal Chris appears to be on the outside.

The crazy thing about this is, that I think this would not have been an open and shut case if the neighbor didnt have that doorbell camera.

Hopefully the wife had no idea that his next targets were their daughters. I can't imagine being strangled, knowing you are gonna die, and being powerless to save your babies.

What kills me is the kids’ last moments were probably pure confusion and probably didn’t even know what their daddy was doing. They didn’t even have a chance to understand what he was doing because why would ur daddy do that to u!? He’ll get what’s coming..

It infuriates me that someone like Chris will never pay for what they’ve done, even on an emotional level, while he rots in prison. he simply doesn’t have the capacity to understand the pain he’s inflicted on someone else.

It would've actually been easier to just get a divorce.

He saw his wife and daughters as obstacles that had to be removed, not as human beings... Unimaginable.

This, by far, is the most horrible crime I've ever seen. There are no words what a senseless death of these innocent human beings.

The tears of the children's grandfather made me speechless and had me in tears for hours... These devils must be killed .. not punished... May all their souls rest in peace

Even the judge looks distraught. Imagine having to listen to all of that and not want to just be sick. Poor guy. I feel for everyone involved in this case. The images will never leave their collective memories. I especially feel for the Rzuek family. The pain they have had to face would break most people, but they have remained true to their convictions, for which I applaud them. If any of the family ever sees this comment, just know your babies are flying higher than they ever imagined now, in a beautiful place where no evil or cruelty can ever touch them again. It's those left behind that have to try and pick up the pieces. But, how does one put back together a shattered heart? My thoughts and prayers with the family always. Fly high, Shannan, Bella, CeCe and Nico. You deserve to finally be at rest.

Chris Watts did not want a Preliminary Hearing because he did not want the details of the crimes he committed known..so the lawyer throws the details into the final prosecution statement lol dude is a genius

After watching the whole case, I am convinced that he is not crying for the family he killed. He is crying for himself . If not caught lying, he would have married his girlfriend and went on with his life as if nothing had happened.

That security guard is so visibly uneasy hearing this, he definitely has kids he loves very much.

I never noticed before just how many police officers are scattered around that court room. I'm guessing that it is to protect CW in the event of an attack. I also noticed how much Sha'nnan looked like her father. Seeing the agony on his face is heartbreaking.

The scariest thing is that there are more people like him on this planet...

What bothers me the most it's that all this time, he's feeling sorry for HIMSELF. Not his wife not his children, HIMSELF. Not once did he shed a tear over his dead family. This man is a narcissist monster. Deserves a worst punishment than jail time.

It’s so saddening to listen to this, but I’m so glad that this DA detailed exactly what this monster in a man’s body did. As the father of a three year old, it’s even more horrifying to me to imagine what those little girls were thinking when their “Daddy” (and I put that in quotation marks because while it’s the most wonderful name I’ve ever been called, it’s not a name that he deserves) brutally murdered them. And then he discarded them like so much trash. I hope that his life is as empty and unfulfilling as it possibly can be.

She got lucky I hope she feels terrible as well for the pain and damages she caused for going out with a married man

Wow that DA expressed himself so well he did excellent job describing the events of what crime Chris Watts and how sad this man took his family wife.

I actually almost cried a little while listening to this. Hearing how the daughter fought against her dad who killed her was actually heartbreaking.

He’s so narcissistic that he didn’t want to be seen as the dad that left his family for another woman. So he decided to eliminate them instead.

During the tape of the body cam it hit me hard that the poor doggie was frantically looking for shannan. Probably witnessed his owner being carrier confused scared in the middle ofnthe night. Alone for hours not knowing what to do. The cops come in to look and the dog is not barking like a dog would at the mailman it's a bark that he's scared and wants shannan and the girls back. He didn't like Chris at all and every time I saw video of the dog he stayed away from Chris. It's so haunting, like that parrot who witnessed the shooting of his owner and could later tell on the witness stand the quotes of his owner screaming no don't shoot.

I don’t cry easy. But this brought tears to my eyes. Those poor children helpless and defenseless, smothered by there sworn protector .. god this man is soulless 😞

He's the most hated person in the prison he's at, by inmates and guards alike. He has to live in solitary because so many of the inmates want to kill him. Yes really.
