The fact that he tried to talk himself out of it says that he is used to being able to talk himself out of any situation. This just proves that you can be the slick person on earth and all it takes is for the right person to look right through your BS
This guy just didnt want to go to drug court, acting stupid hoping the judge would assign him something else or he could pick whatever he wanted. I'm glad the judge saw through his bs

1. Saying you want to go to a ministries program is the equivalent to Josh Duggar digging ditches and praying to stop being a child predator. 2. How is someone facing life in prison even allowed this many chances??? 3. Also, he really thought if he repeated his story for the fourth time the judge would say - oh! I didn’t understand before - ISS you go!
Looks like finally on the 4th strike the guy gets some jail time. Amazing what it takes to get some time in jail. I suspect this guys will be out on parole in 18-36 months if he is on good behavior. All this and this judge is one of the tougher judges.
"Because the robbery wasn't the worst ever, give him very lenient charges." This judge loves deferred punishments - which contributed to this guy's continued victimization.
I am on a specialty court mental health court not drug court they are very similar and it never seizes to amaze how many ppl try to tell the judge what they are going to do instead of following the judges orders once they get slapped with a consequence then they wanna go back and do what they are told..the other day in court this girl tried telling the judge she wasn't going to do court ordered classes because they interfere with her job the freaking class is once a week for an hour! We are told that the program doesn't work around our lives that our lives work around the program!

This dude is walk-into-walls unsmart. Given a chance to stay out of prison and eff's it up. Smfh. Because he talked his way out of 4 motions to revoke. So he figured, why not a fifth? He's talked his way out of consequences since he was in single digits would be my guess. Well, he finally ran into someone who doesn't suffer fools gladly.
They need a really good computer system because she has to recognize her handwriting to know that she was the last judge to deal with him. In all these cases I watch from various courts, they spend so much time trying to figure out where they are in the defendant’s case because it’s all paper files and no one remembers anything.
Kind of amazing that people are so stupid. When you're on probation the court gives you a list of requirement (conditions) with which you must comply in order to successfully complete that probation. It's not rocket science. All you have to do is go down the list and complete each requirement.
The fella is a drug addict. He does not want to get clean (at the moment). So, he does not want to go to the program. That is what he is saying, I still want to do drugs. He needs to be represented by counsel, he is clearly not his best advocate for himself. This judge is a saint. Every once in a while the system works.
