Just as the judge is restricted to $1,000 max per violation, he is also permitted to jail him up to 30 days, per. Regardless, he can simply remand him into custody until the end of the trial.

Here's the reality. If we see people in prison jump suits with no make-up and hair product, we see them as criminals. If we see people in $10,000 suits with everyone calling them Sir or Mr. or Mr. President, we see them as high status individuals. He might fund-raise off it if he gets himself tossed in jail, but the second the public sees a REAL photograph of a pouting, make-up-less Trump sitting in a dirty jail cell, the image he's cultivated for decades goes out the window. This image is the suit of armour that is 10 sizes bigger than the actual occupant. The moment he's seen as "touchable" the politicians who hate him but capitulate out of fear will turn on him like politicians do when someone is no longer useful or dangerous to them.

The Judge should not tell to an accused person in a criminal case: “I don’t want to put you in jail” because this, on itself, is giving a biased perspective about the trial. The Judge could say instead: “ I don’t want to put you in jail for violating a gag order” It all needs to be treated in a more accurate and truthful way

The NY law demands that each violation has to be fined a max of $1000 or incarceration of 30 days. Do your duty, Judge. Don't beg the defendant; if you do then it is a dereliction of your duty.
