What were you expecting him to give her? Some years? He literally couldnt even if he wanted to, the minimum sentence required for her charges was life without parole. He had no other choice BUT this sentence.
@@johalmag3304According to her statement she welcomes death and looks forward to it so it is more fitting she suffer a long and miserable existence in prison
As a former litigator, this is one of the best, most knowledgeable, and thorough judges I’ve ever seen. His rulings and temperament were always on point. He should instruct other judges. I wholeheartedly agree with his sentences.
I categorically do not agree. I'm religious but as a human written book the bible is correct These murderers should be given back what they murderously and TORTUOUSLY forced upon these shrieking, agonized to point of no breath child victims. Firing squad and soon Thete is no justice in the taxpayer feeding, housing, t.v time etc. for these most horrendous slime conceivable.
Judge Boyce demonstrated remarkable professionalism during the sentencing, managing to conceal his disgust and anger. His flawless execution of the proceedings deserves commendation. Hats off to Judge Boyce for doing the right thing in every way! 🎩👏
This judge is awesome. Making her hear all the evidence even when she didn’t want to. Making sure the jury is recognized as working hard during a terrible trial.
I doubt any juror would want to be involved with such a disturbing case. Viewers have the option to switch off and/or watch something else. They didn't have that option.
I really appreciated the respect Judge Boyce showed to the families of the victims, the jurors, and the first responders who had to deal with Daybell's horrifying atrocities (I refuse to call her Vallow after what she did to that family). Jurors and first responders are often forgotten about when considering those affected by a crime, so it was nice to see them acknowledged. In reality, consecutive life sentences are a bit pointless as we only live once, but to use them as a way to honour the victims (by giving one for each of them) was intelligent, thoughtful, and will hopefully provide some solace to the loved ones of each individual victim, along with a sense that justice was done. It would have been very easy to be vengeful in this sentencing - most of us would want to lock her up and throw away the key - but I thought his calm, patient explanation showed how well this was thought through, and pretty much destroyed any chance she has of appeal. Fabulous judge!
She was even self righteous abt it. Only she knows...only she has communicated with Jesus and Tylee...all about her...me, me, me. She is wacko (or faking) and disgusting.
Before she killed/had JJ killed, she took away his dad, his service dog, his sister, his grandparents, and his meds. Imagine what he was suffering as an autistic boy, even before he was murdered? I'm grateful for this verdict. She deserves every minute and more.
There is something terribly wrong with the child protective systems in the states in which she resided. How do children disappear with a crazy woman and parental, sibling and grandparents rights severed so completely?
@@YT4Me57 She was really good at lying to people and playing a shell game. But, when your children are buried in shallow graves in your new husband's backyard, you can't keep up the charade forever. The authorities did their jobs admirably in terms of child protection, but by the time they found out something was wrong, it was already too late.
So shocked Lori not only had no remorse but she had the gull to try to convince the court that all her victims were doing great, keeping busy, and of course in Lori style........she made it all about her and how her victims were visiting her and comforting her. I think the psychological profession needs to make a new diagnostic category for this one. Judge Boyce's explanation of his decisions was stellar!
I think, she was playing up an insanity plea, by her rambling wacked out religious story. But it didnt work. If she hadn't met Chad, none of this might have happened, the 2 of them together were extremely bad news. She was playing a game of her own. No doubt she has serious issues of one sort or another.
She doesn’t think she did anything wrong. The people she killed - in her mind- were worthless. All they were worth was the money she and Chad got off them. Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when she found out she wasn’t getting the million dollars from Charles life insurance.
If there was ever anyone who deserves the death penalty, she should be at the top of the list. What she did is absolutely disgusting beyond words. Those were her CHILDREN who LOVED her… 😭😭😭
@@Th3Mobb3r I agree, death is too easy and quick. The only good thing I see about a death sentence is I believe you have less contact with others on death row, the actual sentence of death takes years to carry out so a life without parole sentence is probably better anyways.
Ugh I know. That post where Tylee says she won the lottery with this one as her mom. 💔😭 What a GEM of a TEENAGE daughter! To feel that way about her Mom! She was So lucky & she obviously must have been genuinely good at some point for children to feel that about her. Which makes it worse, because they were all completely blindsided by this flip.
It honestly amazes me that some of these defendants I see on this channel, Lori included, believe that it would go any other way for them. Did she honestly expect anything less then what the judge gave her? She murdered 3 of her own children. She should have known she was never going to feel another day of freedom again.
Oh she fake cried over 2 or 3 words of her delusional blabber when addressing the court, but that was it. The amount of absolute nonsense she spewed was unreal. I was hoping someone would just yell stfu! from the audience. RIP to the victims.
Judge Boise clearly put extensive hours and deep thought into his statement and decisions. I cannot fathom the anger he had to keep quelled seeing that criminal sit so smugly, defiantly, bored, & disrespectfully. Thank you Judge Boise for declaring to the world that she does not have one day of freedom for the rest of her life.
Anybody, coming back to watch this because Chad is now on trial to remind you how evil these people really are? I pray the Jury gets it right with him as well. These families deserve justice for what was done to them. The fact that you even get a life in prison sickens me.
An exceptional judge in her case. I have gotten so I cannot stand to even hear her name , let alone his. Despicable humans. Justice WILL prevail for all involved. Rest easy Tylee , Jj , Tammy & Charles. 🩷🩷🩵🩵
As a first responder since 2004 this woman doesn’t understand the amount of collateral damage she has forever caused to all that went to that scene. Any call involving kids isn’t a call you want these people will never be able to unsee what she caused. It’s honestly fu(ked up to go to a call like that
That's what gets me, too. Even just JJ & Tylee's friends. Being that young, losing a playmate, to Murder, by their Mother! Unimaginable. It's bad enough when a schoolmate gets kidnapped, etc, by a stranger. Then you learn Stranger Danger. What do you teach a kid to fear (& TRUST!) when the danger could be a parent? 😳 💔😭
27:24 That big sigh and look up when he said "You need to be held accountable" was DELICIOUS. I felt like that's the only time she really felt the seriousness. I love this judge.
I love how in the beginning the Judge built her up, giving her compliments, telling her what a great inmate she was. And then he handed it to her! 😂 She wasn’t too happy after that!
Judges have to weigh aggravating and mitigating factors when fashioning a sentence for the defendant. And they’re not compliments; they’re called mitigating factors.
Thats how all judges are, they have to consider and give the mitigating factors(good things about the defendant/things that explain what they did) and then the aggravating factors (bad things about the defendant/what the did/how bad it was, etc.). It's just protocol.
true, but the person who failed to raise her properly is responsible in part for those deaths as well. maybe if parents were held accountable for the pieces of work they turn loose on society, other parents would do a better job and not spoil them so much by letting them get their way when they throw a temper tantrum.
I agree, just the way she was sitting there reeked of arrogance. It was as if she believed she didn't need to pay attention or listen to the judge, not the best way to paint yourself in a good light since anyone with any ounce of remorse and compassion would give the judge their upmost respect.
This woman showed absolutely no remorse for killing her 2 children and being involved in tammy's death. She deserved every life sentence she received and the judge was fair and sympathetic to the victims and families. This was a good day for justice. RIP JJ, Tylee, and Tammy❤
Lori, along with her brother Alex, was also there that day & involved in the killing of Charles, the kids Father. And I believe Lori & Chad were also involved in the mysterious death of her brother Alex. I see the connecting dots where Alex was also involved with all of the Family related killings, so he got his just desserts in my opinion. When you go down the deep Rabbit Hole of this case you'll come to the conclusion there's most likely more victims. I wish all of those church followers would speak up about everything that happened in that cult. Brandon, the ex husband of Melanie, who is Lori's niece, was almost killed too because he started questioning things going on in Chad's church & he warned people about Lori, Chad & Melanie, and he was telling people to look into other members (including children) that were "dropping like flies". Afterwards he was shot at in a "drive by" a few weeks after JJ & Tylee were killed, and 2 weeks before Tammy was killed. Lori's niece Melanie has her hands dirty too, in some of this. And who knows who else is involved. I also remember something about possibly Lori's sister, or another relative, that mysterious died a long time ago. It's suspect & I'm willing to bet Lori has other things in her past that no one is fully aware of. I firmly believe that Lori & Chad are both are Serial Killers, and I don't think we'll ever know the whole story or who all of their victims are. I really hope Chad also never sees the light of day again, because he is also equally responsible for all of those killings.
@@annwithaplan9766 because at the start he made it sound to Lori that he was going to go light on her sentence. I know I wasn’t the only one that thought that.
Thomas's speech was mindblowing, calling vallow love, that she was all about love was so off the wall and cringe worthy, he should hide for awhile. I disagree with Judge Boyce about her relationship with daybell being a catalyst for her crimes, I believe she and her brother killed Joe Ryan and that she was evil from the start.
her specech was also rotten 🤮 they appears to her and are happy and busy ( she saying about her kids)? 😡 the worty part was put God into this satanic situation... God has notinhg to do with that! I hope she be able to meet God genuinely and sincerely and repent of everything before Him!
You mean the jury...cause the judge was forced to give her life without parole since she was found guilty by the jury. The minimum he could give her was life without parole, no matter what he wanted.
Amazing judge that upholds his oath to the people, yet remains calm and very true to justice! This judge should be what all judges long to be. This case was heartbreaking and absolutely horrifying. Poor babies
If I ever had doubts about the judge….not anymore he took her down like a boss! Prosecutors, Kay, Larry, jurors everyone involved your heartache finally got a win!
She’s a cold calculated murderer. She has not changed her behavior in anyway from the day she walked in. She is not sorry in fact she doesn’t think she did anything wrong. She needs to be placed in prison for a lifetime without parole.
This Judge covered all bases, and was extremely fair to the abhorrent defendant, so as to shut down any appeals forthcoming. His speech was also very empathic to those who's lives were ripped from them, and to the those victims that are left to deal with the loss. A very respectful and powerful sentencing.....Justice WAS Served. RIP Tammy 💙🦋🌹 RIP Tylee 💙 🦋 🌹 RIP Joshua 💙 🦋 🌹
The Judge is not able to "shut down" appeals. Indeed he spoke about the appeal process. She will immediately appeal 1. the case 2. her representation It will take about 3 years before the Idaho Supreme Court hears either of them. But she now has nothing else to do with her time. Did you notice how in HER ridiculous "statement" whenever she spoke about all the people she had murdered being in heaven she said they were "busy". "Busy". Hmm. Well, I hope the doc keeps her nice and busy for the rest of a very very long life in which she will notice that End Times never come. She'll just get older and uglier. OR...better still..she ends up in Arizona jails. They are so bad that they have been under Federal Indictment for 11 years for not providing even basic medical care. There are women there with cancer who are reported to have "green liquid" dripping out of their breasts.

I have watched this twice so far and will watch it many more times! I'm in Australia and have been following this entire case since Tylee and JJ went missing. Hearing Judge Boyce hand down this sentence (at 3am) was what this entire world has been waiting for, for too long now. To all the families of Tylee, JJ and Tammy, may peace be with you all. Larry and Kay, I honestly love you and I'm so very sorry for what this evil monster has put you through. Your togetherness and strength throughout this whole trial is extremley admirable. I applaud this Judge for being thorough in his review of all the charges and the judgement of her heinous actions. Those poor babies did not deserve any of this.

I’m a Christian and I couldn’t have said it better. To use the name of Christ anywhere in her arrogant self righteous ridiculous narcissistic statement makes one I’ll. It’s people like this that use people’s beliefs to justify their selfish evil behavior let alone crimes, that make people Leary of those that believe in Christ. I hope your view of Christianity has not been blown forever.
@@angelinaanderson481 Thank you for your thoughtful comment. If anything, Lori Vallow's proclamation of divine intervention makes me feel anger and pain for the millions of good people, like you, who do have true faith and would never commit such acts in the name of all that is holy. I think faith of all kinds spins the earth and provides hope and peace. What she did, what she is, is an obscenity.
@@angelinaanderson481 Hearing Vallow's statement must have been gutwrenching for you. For millions of people the Bible is a "roadmap" for life and how to deal with the challenges we may face.
Nor is she a follower of Jesus. Mormonism is not consider mainstream faith of Christianity (which actually has it’s own misteachings-not what Jesus taught).
Sad all round. I wonder where we will be today if the Police took Charles Vallow more seriously. Breaks my heart to see him begging for help, trying to make sense of the crazy that was happening around him. The monster flutters her eyelashes and giggles her way out of being properly looked at.
@@EffSharpthey really dropped the ball with Charles' murder. If they had prooerly investigated that, alex would not have been able to carry out *these* murders. Now lori's the only living witness of that paeticular incident, which makes prosecuting her that much harder. Chandler police done fukced up.
Please pass this on to Judge Boyce. Thank you so much for your words at sentencing. I watched your body language throughout and I knew how hard this was for you but you held it together and delivered the words that we all felt. The way you spoke to Lori and the impact it has/had, because what you said to her is what we all felt will continue to give comfort to family, friends & everyone everywhere. It’s like a bit of closure. I admire you for doing a great job, thank you. Sue from California ☀️
Good one, LOL! But, Kylee and JJ understand how essential they are with the ultimate plan, are good to go, and are helping make it happen! Plus paying celestial visits to victims, so that they might understand the plan one day...
I'm glad he really dropped the hammer on her. Basically she's convinced they are in a better place so what she did doesn't matter according to her own thinknig. Using religion in a false way like that, as an excuse for murder, is evil.
This is one of my all time favorite sentencings because of how calmly and dispassionately the judge lowers the boom, and how he turned her arrogant, stubborn defiance back on her and explained how she blew it by not providing any mitigating facts.
Nicely done Judge. You were keenly accurate and didn't hold back as to her sick & nefarious murdering lying behaviors. Burying them with dead animals. Thank you for being so throughout, and giving x3 forever sentences.
And Chad calling Tammy to tell her he shot & killed a raccoon & was going to bury it in their pet cemetery. He was burying Lori's children & didn't want Tammy to get suspicious! That's diabolical!
Did you see her react with contempt and fury when he said that the sentences would be consecutive? Just a shake of her head, eyes upwards. Her final demotion maybe from her fantasy of power over everyone else. That got to her and she couldn't hide it.
Judge Boyce did great! He was straight forward and covered all of his bases. ...But I LOVED how he kind of led her on near the beginning..."you've been a great inmate...no previous criminal history..." then BAM, you deserve the worst. That was the best sticking it to her moment ever. Even if that's not what he was trying to do.
Judge usually like not compliment her but there's 2 factors that judge need to consider before giving her sentence 1st mitigating factors(good thing about her) 2nd aggravating factors (bad things about her)
I have the utmost respect for Judge Boyce. He exudes the qualities a judge should possess. He ran a tight ship, he did an excellent job in this sad case. 🌿 RIP Tylee, JJ, Tammy, & Charles
Poor Charles! He tried & tried to get help for Lori’s mental health issues. Her family, save Adam, refused to even accept his phone calls. He even told the police that he thought she was going to kill him, (because of her bazaar behavior), and look what happened.💔
This is why the death penalty should be available in ALL states. Monsters like this don't deserve to live another second after murdering those poor babies.
It is available in her state. The prosecution messed up and filed it way too late and it had to be taken off the table. The good thing is they filed it on time for Chad Daybell at least.
A life lived in prison is harder than a death sentence. Eventually her delusions will go away and she'll be faced with the facts and forced to deal with she did to her kids.....all in a 5x8 cell with no window, for the rest of her life.
Because even if she was sentenced to the death penalty, she wouldn’t actually be put to death. She would just appeal, appeal, and appeal and end up dying naturally in prison.
A death sentence is far more costly to taxpayers than a life sentence with no possibility of parole. Every convicted person has an opportunity to appeal but those sentenced to death appeal multiple times; have many funded organizations working for them; multiple hearings; it's rather 'endless'...
What was bone chilling was her sentencing statement! I am still mortified to witness such evil! I am not exaggerating, Lori was playing head games to the bitter end. Such pain to inflict on innocent people...She was "putting it" to the entire world...
As a Christian, I was appalled by her attempt to hijack scripture to advance her theory of being above the law. Shudder. I’m glad the mental evaluation included the personality disorders and hyper-religiosity. Well done, Judge!
If Lori truly believe that the world was going to end and she was supposed to lead the survivors in Rexburg, why was she on a long honeymoon in Hawaii? Why wasn't she gathering more people or building a bunker in Rexburg to prepare for the end times? It's because she knew it was nonsense, she knew the world wasn't ending. Lori just wanted to live the good life in Hawaii with her new husband.
It sounds like she believes she did them a FAVOR... by ridding them of their 'dark spirit' (killing them)... and then taking the payout from insurance. She hasn't really given an excuse for THAT. Maybe they asked her to when they came to her in her goddess dreams?
I think lori and alex were somehow guilty of causing the death of Joseph Ryan, the father of Tylee Ryan. Whatever alex gave Joseph Ryan to cause his death, he took a helping of it himself and that’s how he died.
One thing I have managed to find by looking all over the net is that carbon monoxide poisoning, manual asphyxiation, and possibly malachite poisoning would cause the things all those deaths share. Tammy was manual, so was Joe, possibly. Sadly he was cremated. So unless she ever fesses up, we will never know. But I agree.
Lori likely killed Alex or had a hand in his death. Alex did her bidding and she did away with him. LVD even said that her Dad was dark, she was probably plotting his murder.
@@justkiddin84 Yes, and as delusional and narcissistic as she is, she will never confess to anything. She can’t even own up to the murder of her children and Tammy when the evidence is right in plain sight. In fact she goes further with it and pulls the whole mental act as to try and mitigate punishment when she’s tried in Arizona.
Her little speech was ridiculous actung like thats what the kids wanted and they are so happy now.. she cant wait to see them again? Not where she is going👹
Wow the first time she's is crying in court. I know she's not crying because of what she did but because she's getting locked up for a pretty long time. In her head she thought she was getting out.
Judge future-proofed her sentence. If in 25 years they decide that "life in prison" really means "20 or 30 years in prison" she's still not getting out.
@@julesjay424really? Why is that? You obviously didn't follow the trial. He did nothing wrong. No need to reply but you don't know what you're talking about.
What a crock- how convenient that her victims regularly appear to give her a little love. Even though she stressed they were so "busy." Her only statement should have been "I am sorry and thank you so much for not executing me. Even though I deserve it."
15:10 ! You moved to Rexburg where you could find 1000 random families to take your children but you brought them here to murder them. YOU HAD SO MANY OTHER OPTIONS !!
Shes so evil to the core and so is her husband. Sick people. No other words for it. Let her rot in prison. Judge yes yes yes your a hero for throwing away the keys!!!
Good she got everything she deserved. A+++ on the Judge for basically telling her how awful she is, but keeping classy at the same time. Tough day for those defense attorneys.
I was worried as he started…. Luckily The judge did an excellent job sentencing this manipulator… How easy was for her to slither her actions with her maniacal thoughts… Justice was done.
Same. He was so diplomatic...but then as he read his lengthy judgment and added notes (to address her final comments) I was tearing up and cheering him at the same time. Bravo Judge Boyce!
Worried for what? You do realize that the mininum sentence he could possibly give her was life without parole. For her crimes, he couldnt legally give her any less whether he wanted to or not. The ONLY thing he had to decide was whether they would run concurrent or consecutively, but even that doesnt reallymatter cause its not like shes going to come back from the dead after she completes her first life sentence. He just did it for a message, the consecutive part.
Shes so crazy she didn't believe they were her children anymore. She thought that her children were already gone and demons were in their bodys and all she did was kill demons. Somehow all ok through religion. She's crazy.
@@hks956 she just gave herself an excuse to remove the poor souls out of her life because they stood in her way..she knew there were no demons in her children…
Honestly not trying to be a jerk but do you think its possible that you have been the victim of the new, modern day trend of 'Judge-Worshipping' ??? The judge really didnt do anything special Just his routine job
while the judge notes a couple of times that she is 50 with no criminal history. That is only because she was allowed to walk out of police station after being questioned post death of Charles Vallow. She was also not thoroughly investigated after the death of her first husband. Her life prior to marriage wasn't rosy either based on interviews with her extended family, sister in law, and people who knew her. Law enforcement turned a blind eye for the young, pretty, vivacious and 'churchy' blonde.
@eboston7591 are you defending her????? A few husbands are dead and I'm including Joe Ryan bc I dont buy his cause of death. The thought Tammy Daybell was natural til someone looked into it.
Bless this Judge. He gave this thought, articulated his careful considerations of her past deeds and current thoughts and excuses for her actions. There may come a time when she has remorse but I’m not sure she is capable of any human emotion that does not benefit her wants.
She’s a psychopath, psychopaths succeed as managers and soldiers so aren’t necessarily classified as mentality ill tho there is a propensity for them to walk over anyone to reach their goals with no remorse. I wonder if Lori thinks she’s going to fly out of prison with angel wings, she’s insane but not mentally challenged in terms of nit knowing the difference between right and wrong.
