Do you feel judged for not wearing make up? Do you think a company should not hire a woman for not wearing make up? I am not into makeup so let me know your thoughts. I have personal experience with delivery issues. Have you had issues with receiving luxury goods or returning them?

Ok so I watched the full thing now 😂. I am only used to tanger and premium outlets in the US and I have to say, I never went into a luxury outlet store in Tanger Outlets. But I have in premium outlets . They seem more approachable but they do seem to water down the experience a bit with the lines. I personally do not like to wait in lines outside any store, luxury or not, it ruins the shopping experience for me. And when I think of a luxury store I’m supposed to be doted on and all attention on me and my needs. Almost like spa, I don’t want to feel rushed or have to wait. But that’s just me.

I don’t think that wearing makeup should determine whether or not someone gets a job. I am shocked that the company blatantly said her appearance was part of the reason she didn’t get promoted 😅 Also I am a huge fan out outlet malls, here in Canada we have tanger outlets as well but we also have premium outlets. I enjoy shopping at the outlets however I wish some of the higher end brands made it more clear which items are “outlet only” pieces. Not that there’s a problem with buying that but more so because some people think they’re getting discounted boutique pieces when that’s not the case. Thanks for the news update! 😊

Oh yes! Sometimes when I go into the outlet I ask which items came from the boutique. I stopped doing that in Kate Spade because they hardly get any items from the boutique anymore. Thanks for another update! Lol, I never realized you’re not wearing make-up. It never crossed my mind, what I see is a beautiful and radiant woman. 😃I can imagine to some extent that there might be jobs where wearing make-up may be considered normal by an employer. For my line of work, I wouldn’t want to work anywhere where it’s required.

I am not a makeup person either. I am big on caring for my skin. I have sensitive skin, so makeup on a daily is not a choice for me, especially in the summer months. It may clog my pores and cause more issues.

Omg I can’t believe I missed this. I saw the short and I was like, I NEED MORE!!! Ok I’m back watched the complete first part. I have a feeling this video is going to have a lot of goodies so I’m doing it in pieces. I am like you I’m not a big makeup person. And I was contemplating the same thing when starting my channel and I ultimately settlers with the same reasoning. In my career you have mixture of opinions on this topic. And I think I’m lucky for I’m in a stem field. But even so, I have heard that people choose to do so for it seems more polished, put together and professional. But I have also seen many people even I higher leadership roles not wear makeup. I think that is very excessive and is embarrassing that they would even remotely suggest that. From what I’ve seen, it usually means they already have some bias towards the person personally and not professionally that they nit pick and something so arbitrary and ridiculous to fire you. Don’t get me wrong appearance is important but make up is a personal choice.

Regarding the person that didn’t get the promotion because of physical appearance I didn’t know a company could SAY that in 2024. How can they require a woman to wear makeup when men aren’t required to wear it? Is this 1950? Is she sure that it’s because of a failure to wear makeup? Could appearance be what she wears? It’s just so odd to me that they could openly say that to her & she have no legal recourse. I thought the role was based on work performance & can the candidate do the job. Of course someone that is slovenly, not neat, well put together, you don’t want representing your organization. But just no makeup?!?! WHAT?

Hey Liz! That’s what she is saying is the only thing that could have been missing. She said she wore a nice top with a jacket. She also straightened her hair. I watch a couple of her TickTock and nothing was off with her appearance. Of course I wasn’t present for the interview so we just have to go with what she said. I’m surprised they said anything about her appearance and didn’t leave it at she wasn’t the right candidate. Totally off and crazy if that is the case! Thank you for always supporting my channel 😊
