I always interpreted vampires having a normal bedroom as a facade especially since in the apartments the vampire beds are usually put in almost closet locations/sized areas
I actually remember reading somewhere that art deco was partially influenced by egyptian motifs and designs so ea’s “egyptian deco” is accurate to what you’d see in some real life art deco architecture from the 1920-30s
I love polly. She’s a sweetie and she’s great for rags to riches. She has two decent stragedies to get rich but it takes time. She has a guitar so she can become a musician fairly easily. But also her traits hopeless romantic and bookworm makes her a great author. Like the most profitable books at level five of writing.
so true! I made her the founder of my legacy and she's now an elder and owner of half the city, all while making 98k royalties a week from her books and earning a high salary since she's at the top of the journalism career. it feels nice to do the rag to riches with her and give her a nice house and family
@@gaymingbinosaur6083 It's interesting that she's already living in 10k apartment (basement). She can move to a decent small flat and have 5k left. Technically 10k funds is not even rags
Lucky Palms was fun to review... I love the world as a whole, some gorgeous scenery and shells, but there some questionable choices inside Moonlight falls would be fun too, I've never played with supernatural stuff in sims 3, but those houses are totally my style
Your critiques are hilarious and great. You are also totally right these BIG houses it is like they just dropped in the basic furniture to mark what they meant the room to be and nothing more.
The questionable color choices continues 😂 I do love the storytelling with the struggling sims apartments though, really good. I love Bridgeport so much but I've not bothered much with most of the pre-mades so I've never seen most of these builds. The rich old ladies apartment with the grandson is probably the most disappointing: too small and doesn't reflect the sims very well, very boring.
In sims 3 o usually play my own single family bc the world progresses around me so I am the same way. Sims 2 I do the opposite, I play every premade in a set order haha I agree. That was the lamest in terms of concept execution. They could have made a beautiful classic six or something.
I actually love the Malone tower, the exterior of the building is really nice, and the apartment fits very nicely with the story they want to tell, so I would rate it a solid 9
I just wanted to thank you for your video's. I have watched these videos over and over cause I have been completely rebuilding (and expanding) Bridgeport for years (no visible rabitholes and custom high rises) and it is getting close to being finished. Your video's of the interiors helped me so much to keep the pace or rebuild/ rework/ the apartments (no worries, IF I use Green in the bathrooms it is in a classy way) and I am getting back to it again. I feel that without your videos I might have dropped the city even trough it is and always has been my favorite city (even trough mine has more of a city feel but I am deeply biased lol) so thank you again and keep the videos coming! (maybe look into EA's commercial lots to pretty please? ) Oh on a side note, There was a Egyptian revival in the art deco era (20's-30's) not strictly a part of the Art deco (witch came as a geometric counter to the floral based Art Nouveau) but more of a separate bit but that is just me as an interior designer geeking out ;-) it was pretty trough!
So many of my dreams died in the hills of Bridgeport. I just remember all the beautiful Mansions I’d want to plop down to replace those eyesores with and the way they had the terrain 😭😭😭
That brownstone is such a creative idea and they really missed the mark... Literally scooch that roof over by one tile and it would look so much better! One thing that's odd is that it's clearly implied that this is the last building of it's kind in the neighborhood, but I'm a but surprised that they didn't include some older medium density builds or some family homes from that era. I would imagine those old starlet twins to have a big mansion in between two skyscrapers or a couple more third story occupants rather than 30+ story occupants. Maybe even just one more older brownstone that's clearly lost its luster or been added onto in a tacky way?
I agree with you. I love brownstones so much, and I would love more smaller apartment buildings too, but at least they gave us some houses and smaller buildings. I also think that they could have utilized penthouses better for a city world.
Yay, new video! Ah, I was enjoying a lot of the houses, I will say with the evil vampire dude house though, I think the normal bedroom is there to kind of like 'blend in' when he brings home victims. What took me out of it was the complete lack of curtains or blinds, seems dangerous for him, also in the vampire ladies house. Thanks so much for the video, they're always awesome!
Taking on Bridgeport is no easy feat! Appreciate you being up for the challenge! I would like to see Roaring Heights or Dragon Alley next if you have the worlds! P.S. Do you have a patreon? Would love to support!
Dragon Valley would be interesting to do because then I would be upset with boring normal houses instead of being thankful for them. That’s super kind of you, but not necessary. I don’t have a patreon yet however soon I should hit 1000 subs and then I can sort out all that money stuff x
I would assume pianos being everywhere would be due to the reason that unlike sims 1 and sims 2, sims 3 base game had no pianos, they were brought into the game with late night. So as far as I know Bridgeport is the only world with pianos in it
Bridgeport was the first wold I played in once I got all the expansion packs, I set it to always winter and played a private eye sim. Lots of fun. That 'wharf' area with its really bad terrain sculpting drives me nuts though, lol. Not a lot of aesthetic similarities but I live a few towns over from Bridgeport Connecticut so that's what I'm always reminded of Sunset Valley will always be the most nostalgic world for me though, I don't think any of the fan updates/remakes of it over the years have captured the same spirit for me. A lot of the builds there are janky but I think that's part of the appeal for me
I have lived in big cities my whole adult life so the whole suburban world never worked for me, I often played on Bridgeport in university because everyone I knew had apartments in real life.
Another great Sims 3 video. You seem like you've been playing the sims for a while now so you may already know this but just in case you didn't...If you go to the sims 3 store and register the game key for the Base Game and the World Adventures expansion pack, each registration will give you 1000 sim points. It just so happens that 2000 sims points is the price of another EA town called 'Hidden Springs'. Maybe this could be future content for your channel?
I already used all those up haha... Hidden Springs seems to be the one that has the best lore as far as I can tell by the synopsis, I think it's also the richest so maybe we will get some pretty mansions x
(Yes I'm having a marathon catch up today of your channel, home relaxing). I hate big cities alot so I've never played them or even explored them. Grew up in California near beach and close to go to mountains so I just realized that I've only been choosing towns based on this. I hate this town but am watching your other videos with an open mind now
It would have been 2 hours earlier but I made a boo boo at the 25 min mark and had to do the export and upload all over :/ enjoy, thanks for watching x
Heyy, new sub here! Absolutely love your videos and i can see you put a lotta effort in them. A tiny request; Can you do the uninhabited lots too? back in Sunset Valley? if not, maybe a viewer building reviews would be cool, if course its not upto my decision but just wanted to give you the idea i have since i watched all your ranking series in one go! lol
Hello and welcome! I can’t believe you can tolerate me talking for that long haha So for the unoccupied lots... I’m thinking of doing them for ALL worlds after we do the occupied lots, but the first one will be sunset valley for sure (I plan to do the worlds in the same order that I did the occupied lots) I would love to judge viewer builds too, so many people comment that they aren’t confident enough but it would be good to just show how I personally think they could be improved. Thanks again, welcome to my tiny corner of the Internet x
@@Rekowcski just shut up i watch your videos until the very end. And truly i can't tolerate myself not watching you when im bored and get stuck with YT Shorts. I am an experienced builder and i would love to send you one of my first builds so i can listen to the roast lol. Just can't understand your hatred for green but i still love it! Also over the couple of days of following you and being literally obsessed to watch your videos, i get the vibes of bottom gay who is the funniest in friend groups which you beg them to come with you to the meet ups and they always have better plans (playin sims lol). During a whole ass pandemic it is truly a need to talk to someone and you have the cozy friend feeling i can never find.
honestly i love bridgeport but i think just because it’s a city lol. i ALWAYS was renovating the apartments and building my own little lots near the coast
Showtime is one of my guilty pleasures, but I only know the starter homes well. It would be interesting to see EA’s take on celebrity mansions in the sims 3 haha
I have a fun idea but idk if its to hard to pull off, you make an empty world with the world editor tool. Then, any subscriber that wants to, makes a house for that world so eventually you can tour a world full of your subscribers houses and rate them
I use an empty world called "deery meadows" mysimrealty.com/EMPTYWORLDS_DeeryMeadows.html but I would love to try to learn create-a-world. i've actually been working on my own original sims 2 hood, but I think this is a great idea once that's done!
No because what’s up with green everything? I need to know lol. But something that I’ve been loving to do lately is renovating all the Bridgeport apartments! Very questionable design choices, but it’s nothing I can’t fix. 😂
It’s unreal. Maybe 1 out of ever 5 bathrooms is white (the colour of 99% of toilets in real life) but 3 out of 5 are some bizarre colour you haven’t seen since childhood
God I love the sims 3 :') I've tried so many times to switch over to the sims 4 but I just cannot leave this game behind. Not just because of my save games which span literal years worth of playtime and generations, but because of all the features that the sims 3 provided that the sims 4, despite being eight (8!) years old, just don't have. I can't even list them all because this comment would be waaaay too long, but in consideration of the video, I'll say two words: OPEN WORLD. thank you and good night
The apartment with the old ladies and teen in it I think it was considered to be a Luxury apartment when the old ladies were much much younger, hence the style. But I love this series
Honestly that first house is a generous 3 lol. It’s way too big and empty. And the fact that the wallpaper in the dining room randomly changes halfway through the window placement makes no sense to me.
In short, if there is blood red and black = Vampires! I does look like they use the similar items from the pack over and over again and pretty often it doesn't make sense. I still love this world though!
BrntWaffles makes the lighting mod I use. They make different kinds just choose one and pop it in your game to see how it looks. You can always switch it out or remove it if you don’t like it
Ok I KNOW the last time I played in Bridgeport I started with the couple at Celluloid Heights (around 16:00) and I did NOT know there was a weird basement omfg. It's a younger woman and her sugar daddy living there.....what a surprise that he's got a special club in the basement 💀
OMG!!! TIARA ANGELISTA HAVE THE BEST LORE OF ALL BRIDGPORT, I DONT BELIEVE YOU SAY SHE DONT HAVE PERSONALITY. Basicly she don't know who is her dad, but he is your neighbour and also have the same job of Tiara.
@@pawmean thank you so much! yes it's true... the functionality of the sims 3 is independent of your computer specs to an extent. If you fix a couple things after you install, it will run better than the sims 4 for sure. It's an old game so its not THAT demanding, its just not well optimized :X
5:00 "it's very indicative of a heterosexual player with no style". As a former heterosexual player with no style, I laughed so much. Needs more tissue boxes.
