Considering overall position, it is better to extend tenure of present CJI for two years by amending Constitution. Such an highly reputed judge may not be available now.
Current CJI was not efficient enough but gave opposition more chances in political petitions. Article 370 or politicians bail or ED arrest or CBI investigation. Hope new CJI will be impartial in judgement and dont waste taxpayers' money on petitions related to politics.
Very shameful to CJI for knowingly keep mum on delay justice system, at now 50 years waiting period up to Supreme Court, see Courts record, Common men not access justice, Judges not follow the laws including Commercial Court act, Not perform their constitutional Duties after taking Oath of Office and salary, why keep mum on delay and Mafia justice system

Collegium system is a vice. Baap judge hai to beta bhi judge banega SC me. This is highly objectionable but Politicians have never made reform. No doubt that judiciary now in better hand but it is far from what is needed. We often find the observation of certain judges are lopsided & subsequently becomes object of severe public criticism. Heat is the precursor of light & on that account it is a fuel for furtherance of democracy.
Lekin jo umid reha desh ki aam janta ko hatash hona pora EVM ECI or 2024 Chunav ko lekar jo mamla hua tha sahi justice nahi de paya kiu ki bar bar ekhi bench dwara shunai hui lekin sahi nay nahi paya desh jis karan desh ke samne chunavi transparency dekhne ko nehi mila naa ED CBI dwara parisani bhi rukh paya kitba o ko koi saal or mahina jail mai bandhi rahena pora akger jo bina kashur jail or mamla se mukt kia hain lekin un logone jo apna taglif uthaya unke prati kui muwabja nahi dia !?
