The Planet is a much poorer place without Judith Durham in it...She inspired me to be a musician and the rest is history...i went on to become a dj instead...but that certainly wasn't Judith's fault...i did play The Seekers records a lot !!....😃
since you carried on with her music the body is i gone working towards ash or buried under the grass. there is a song that the saints go marching on the body died but the songs and memories live in the technology cloud from up above. miss judith dunham like mr Lawrence welk said thanks for the memories. or was it mr bob hope in a music creation of white christmas with danny kaye and bing crosby and a pair of living lady dolls that we watched in a white in the vacation ski state and green mountain state of vermont. in a white christmas movie.
I just read the sad news that Judith Durham has died at age 79, Rest in Peace Judith Durham Thanks for all the great recordings with and without the Seekers, television performances and films you left behind. 3 July 1943 - 5 August 2022
Love her voice, so lovely and strong. Just heard she passed away on August 5th, 2022. I will miss her... but know she is now singing praises to her Lord and Savior!
WOW SOME piano playing 10/10now that's what I call talent with that voice and piano playing, rest in peace Judith you are not forgotten,God bless you amen, the carnival may be over but I'll always love you till the day I die,God bless you,💖🙏💜🌹🌈😘
Judith was taught classical piano and voice at Melbourne University's Conservatorium of music. Judith was a serious musician. Talented, academic and just brilliant. She didn't just win a talent show; she got there with discipline. And to think she had a life-long lung problem. What a role mode!
Rest in peace dear Judith Durham, 5th August 2022. Your voice and music has brought such happiness to so many thousands of people for so many years. My childhood was enriched with The Seekers records often played in our home, something I did for my children and grandchildren as part of music in their lives.
I cannot help noticing that 16 people have given this video clip of Judith Durham the the thumbs down. That isn’t 16 people, THAT’S 16 IDIOTS!!!. She is not only the most wonderful singer with the most beautiful voice I have ever heard in my life, she is also an exceptionally talented pianist. Judith’s talent is just so colossal she seems to me divine. HEAVEN SENT!.
Agree 100%.....anyone giving her a 'thumbs down' surely has no taste in music, or are completely tone deaf, period! Her voice is, w/o a doubt, beyond any comparison, crystal clear & distinctively beautiful!
This lady was not only a superstar, but also a beautiful human being. Thank you for being part of my life. Thank you for your strong witness for your creator. 🙏
I never really discovered the Seekers until about a month ago although knowing a couple of their hit tunes but not knowing who sang them. A fascinating group in Judith Durham is a one of a kind vocalist. It's a voice you never forget. Truly amazing. With all that's happened in her life she seems to have come through with that same beauty and Grace that she shows us in her performances. God bless you Judith!
Once in a lifetime an individual with this devine talent, as well as quality of character, comes into our lives. Such a person is wonderful Judith Durham! We are blessed.
Holy cow, I've been loving Judith's voice since I first heard The Seekers in 1964. But through these decades I never knew that she could play piano like that. She was just an all around amazing talent.
Such a beautiful voice. Love Judith and what a treat to see her play the piano. I love the song Nobody but you never heard it before. Actually love all of these songs. Grew up listening to Judith and the Seekers, loved them then and love them now. All so very talented but really lovely to see Judith solo too.
Judith Durham....a CLASS and versatile act all the way!!! Thanks for the upload. And there is definitely no place like home!!! Great to hear Judith's speaking voice with that cultured Australian accent. Viva Judith!!!
Someone who is hooked on todays Garbage, That's all they know. They don't have a clue about what great music sounds like. Those 13 people who gave the thumbs down are clueless morons that's all 😃😄😆
Judith Durham and the Seekers one coin with two sides.Judith is a selfless personality who sacrificed her life for music. She and her husband decided not to have children and they will dedicate their life fot music and they dit it.They had singers Athol Guy, Keith Potzer and Bruce ....
Lying on the couch feeling under dressed I'll head upstairs for my tuxedo. Didn't know she played the Joanna, but can she play Grieg's piano concerto like Eric and André preview??🤪
whenever the lead singer of a good band leaves the band and goes it alone, the act is never as good as the original. i have always believed that old saying "stay with what got you there." so yes, i wish the Seekers did not break up. only the Rolling Stones have stayed a good band for so long that the old, aforementioned saying is true.
they clap on cue, they respond on cue, hate the times, love the style, Woodstock broke the mold, but unfortunately it unleashed crap, she was good, but the Seekers were GREAT...
LIP SYNCING are you crazy ?! Judith Durham is THE consummate professional...she’s not going to lip sync for anybody...she’s one of the 3 greatest female vocalists in the world along with Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand ❤️
@@ricktwomey8439 agree about her talent. I actually met her and the other Seekers in 1967 when I was the entertainment manager for college homecoming. Had a few beers with Keith after the concert. But there was a lot of lip syncing done by even the great groups in those days. Do a little research and you will see that they did it on TV for many reasons. And you are still hearing their voices.
no lip syncing in this performance some songs were never recorded by her before this special, you can also hear her voice fade in and out when she moves back and forth from the mic. I think you've had more than a few beers and not with Keith
I think this is 1969, her hemline is right up there and the audience is quite conservative, and she had just left the group, still you got love her for trying, if she sung this set today they would dance and groove her....!!!! love you Judith....!!!!!!
