Many thought soul singer Judith Hill would be the winner of this season of "The Voice," but she was eliminated this week. She talks about her experiences on the show, saying "it felt like 'The Hunger Games' up there."
I'ma be honest idk why she even joined the voice, her status and ability were beyond that show and for sure beyond the judges who tend to be mediocre singers as a whole
Let's be realistic, we all know the best singers never win shows like this. Ruben Studdard had no business beating Clay Aiken and a powerful singer like Jennifer Hudson finished SEVENTH on Idol? LOL! Give me a break! I don't even watch these bullshit shows anymore. This girl doesn't need The Voice, she's gonna be much better off having NOT won that crap ass show, trust me. You know it's a bunch of young people that's doing the majority of the voting for shows like this and these youngsters today wouldn't know REAL talent if it bit them in the ass! Hell they think Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry are superstars and Judith Hill could out-sing all 3 of them on her fucking WORST day!
I don't like these singing competition shows. A lot of people have talent and never get any recognition. Judith Hill was fortunate to have Prince recognize her and he produced, wrote and sang on her new album. It's not like she was "unknown" when she sang on The Voice. She had already worked with Michael Jackson before he passed. Sad that both MJ and Prince are now gone and people are lashing out now and saying Judith is somehow responsible for Prince's death. None of us really know what happened. We are all looking for answers. We are all in shock and just trying to cope and we all miss Prince. In my opinion, music will never be the same again. Prince had the whole "package"; he was an immense talent. No one will ever compare to him.
He loved Judith..Opiates and Aids I think may have been part of his death..IM not being Mean just honest..I Love Prince BUTT he was an opiate addict 4 many years..No big deal BUTT who knows
Connie Prince was obviously very fond of Judith and spent a great deal of time with her. I don't buy into the rumors that Prince had AIDS. I just don't believe that. There is foul-play surrounding his death. One day, the truth will be revealed.
+ globalcitizenn, I know I'm a little late to the party. But in reading all of these post that you and all others are missing is? Yes, she was very blessed to have had they honor of working with Michael, & Prince. As she well deserves it! She's very gifted herself. Her voice speaks for it's self in being hired by these icon's. But let's not stop there? To add on how talented she is. She was also a back up singer for.... Wait for it!!!! Steve Wonder. Now it may have been a little luck to start in connecting with MJ. And opening his eyes to her? But to be able to work with the brilliance of all 3 of them. Think about this? Stevie,Michael,& Prince were not just good, or great musicians. All 3 of these guy's are and were on a way different level then most. (not to say all) But these 3 guy changed the game in music created genre's,brands, careers and the hit song's and instruments they were able play and create. Song's in the thousands. Where as most musicians create one or two hundred songs maybe at best in their career. She may not have won on the Voice. Whatever! She won the grand prize that most could never ever imagine. To jam and create with 3 true musical genius's. It' a wrap! Peace & Rock n' Roll to all !
Sad to say, but it's not only about the voting. A lot of times the producers have more input than they reveal, and their agenda is not always pure. I saw Judith in concert @ The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, sat right next to the stage. She is a STAR!
A high note is not a performance, especially not a poorly produced, flat high note like many of the ones we are forced to listen to each week on the Voice. The reason Judith was voted off is that she is the real deal and the public, especially the younger generation, has not seen the real deal in so long, they have no power to recognize it. The idea that the bland teenage country girl won this season says it all. Uninteresting, unchallenging, too young.
The Voice stinks. Not about the voice. They have never produced a star. Shame on them. And NBC. Sad when you make a show more about advancing the judges careers and not the talent. Just like that network...owned by Comcast. Greedy! No eye or ear for talent.
After her elimation I stopped watching the voice completely, America can't vote for shit. Only me and apperantly a few others actually know who's good and who isn't.
Judith went on to do bigger and better things, like touring with MJ then being a part of Prince's band b-4 he passed away. That's a pretty good resume, if you ask me!
I just thought you were a victim of a bad song choice... I know the song was different but I just think for that stage of the game the risk was not worth the reward... Just a bad song choice, and if you truly wanna know why it didn't work... Watch every episode u deliver a performance, the crowds, (myself included), became excited with your range and your high notes... That song seemed not to ever peak in a super high note that made the crowd go wild... It was a good performance but not ur usual
Yea it was a rip off...Sarah and Judith were by far the best in vocal ability and Talent in there season yet both of them got kicked off the same fucking week which was absolutly insane (And yes idc what anybody say's those two were the best this season...They themselves knew it...Adamn knew it...and people who had good hearing knew it -_-) and this robbery made me and others online completely stop watching the voice after this season alone...I typed somewhere a really long post about the amount of bs there is in this competitions we have the winner who had a whole fucking school supporting her....People who disliked Judith's Song because of the artist who created it...such bs why they Lost (Sarah I was expecting to lose because this week the song she had that I think Adam gave her....she sung it terribly...there was no connection between her and the song itself).....idk suck's but many people know who the actually winner was
BS! I've thought it was a joke because that was really weirdo and so wrong decision. It's should be Judith Hill the winner for sure and for real oh my God!
You know... she has a great voice, but something about it, never reached me inside... it seemed to always be the same sound level, even when she was hitting high notes. I didn't particularly care for her singing, and never voted for her. My fav was Holly Tucker/ Her voice was beautiful, rich sounding, full of emotion, perfect pitch... loved her. I think people got bored with the sound of Judith's voice/
Lady M Shut up you just like Holly Tucker because she's "cute white girl" and you can relate to he rbetter. Talent wise Judith's talent is off the charts and she was way above any of the other acts on that show and even the judges themselves including Usher and Adam.
She said in the article I read tonight that he never once let on to her that he had any pain going on and seemed fine. When he went unconscious on that plane trip she freaked out and ran and got help. It's because of her that he didn't die that night. I don't think people should say such things about her that they don't know to be true.
