I wrestled in HS and did a little BJJ for a semester in college. One of my favorite guys to roll with in BJJ was this Georgian judo black belt, he was tough. The other day I finally got the opportunity to try judo for the first time, and it was so technical. They move through each technique so repetitively and fine-tune them so well. It was weird how not in my comfort zone I felt in judo compared to wrestling and jiu jitsu. I plan on returning, however.

Judo is such a beautiful sport, wrestlers always moan how its easier because you have a gi to grab on to, but it actually makes it way harder because when you have a strong opponent its really difficult to break his grip especially when you're a beginner. I was lucky enough on my first training that i did not have a gi yet haha

Can't wait for randori again here in Wales, also I find people (myself included - expecially on drop seoi-nagi) giving up on throws too soon. I liked the example of how not to do this around 13:45 :)

@@ThePepeandjonas youre dropping to your knees still, but to finish the throw against a resisting opponent you often have to push and drive from your feet straight after dropping. So its still drop seoi, just with extra effort :P

@Shintato Higashi Maan this maneuver at 0:31 was so cool to watch. When he was on his knees - it looked like u used Kuzushi - first to his back (O soto gari direction) and then quickly changed it to forward kuzushi - now pulling his sleeve down and pressuring his head down aswell..
