I remember the first time I saw her in concert--in 1972--and my life was changed forever. I've been to every one of her concerts in Minnesota since then. It is now 2021.

After all these years, she brings me unbridled joy. Nobody like her then, and especially since.

I have loved Judy's voice and Judy since I first heard her sing in 1965! What a talent she has!

Saw her with Stephen Stills approx 1 year ago in San Juan Capistrano. She was 78, and her voice is still perfect. Every time she sang, I cried.

Her voice and music are so beautiful and compelling! I am also in awe of "Suite Judy Blue Eyes" by CSNY -- the music they must have made together would have been awesome.

Like many other songs I know as covers by a variety of artists, I came upon this through the 4AD collective, This Mortal Coil. Well, better to discover beautiful music in any way, which leads me to the original. This song is so pretty, and Judy's voice is magnificent!

Why does she always have to change songs when they were perfect. Love the OLD way she sang this. Beautiful songs don't need to be changed.

Her voice is actually MUCH better on this version, and by the way, a true artist never does a song the same way twice.

I’ve bought a few of her CDs now after listening to this song. She has such a pure voice and is such a talented pianist. Thank you Judy for many hours of relaxation and pure joy at listening to your singing ❤

Lovely song, beautifully sung. Also give a listen to Peggy Lee's exquisite version of this song.

peggy lee's version is not true to the original score. there are many incorrect harmonizations (chords), etc. she never would have done that with any of the "standards" she sang.

"Ginny K" I hear that Judy Collin's son committed suicide when Judy Collins was at the peak of her fame. I think she might think of her son as she sings this song.

The same year my father died. I remembered how all my older siblings moved on and I was the youngest still stuck at home. It wasn't easy living with my parents. They had their dreams and I had mine. Although there was nothing wrong with that, we couldn't live together without many clashes. It was a regular day on June 20, 2002 when the doorbell rang, only to have someone inform us that my father passed away suddenly from an aortic anyuresym : (

I'm sorry that happened. I had issues with my parents as all teens do. And here I am now, both of them gone. Not a day goes by that I don't miss them, talk to them when I pray, and wish I had more time with them. I'm over 50 now, mom lived to 93, Dad to 83. I'm glad in my adult years we all enjoyed being together and had a great relationship.

My father always promised us That we would live in France We'd go boating on the Seine And I would learn to dance We lived in Ohio then He worked in the mines On his dreams like boats We knew we would sail in time All my sisters soon were gone To Denver and Cheyenne Marrying their grownup dreams The lilacs and the man I stayed behind the youngest still Only danced alone The colors of my father's dreams Faded without a sound And I live in Paris now My children dance and dream Hearing the ways of a miner's life In words they've never seen I sail my memories of home Like boats across the Seine And watch the Paris sun Set in my father's eyes again My father always promised us That we would live in France We'd go boating on the Seine And I would learn to dance I sail my memories of home Like boats across the Seine And watch the Paris sun Set in my father's eyes again
