I was so excited to get to see my Norm in another classic Conan interview but to my horror, I see he wasn't on. Why must the comedic beauty that is Norm MacDonald be cancelled?!?! #ImwithNorm
Not sure what to do.. I like Norm and Conan but, since Conan decided to turn on Norm like this which is absolutely disgusting. On principle I'll have no logical choice other then to boycott Late-Night all together. It's antiquated anyway and soon to be just for the grey hairs.
So you dropped Norm as a guest then? That is just really, really weak. A huge dent in the reputation of the show, not being able to have more backbone than that, considering Conans own past in the industry. Disappointing to say the least.
It must be because I'm not American... Two questions: 1. Why is people here telling, that Norm didn't defend Conan, while he got cancelled. Norm did visit the show, and congratulating Conan for a post he is about to lose was a strike against the company, not Conan. Him even visiting the show while it was crumbling down is a statement in itself, and him making a (apparently too ironic) stab how ridiculous it was to cancel the show so soon is a proper sign of support. They're both comedians; him just visiting the show and saying "I fell bad for you" would have been much less believable than him joking around. (Granted, I've never met either of them, so I can't tell what happened behind cameras, but most people here are talking only by what they saw from TV. What show were they watching, if they didn't see Norm visit Conan?) 2. From what I've read about this Metoo- thing, isn't it counter productive to create a campaign in order to protect people from something and then use it to arbitrarily witch hunt random targets in order to rage at someone else to feel bigger...
Sadly cancelling Norm was to be expected. No network right now would stick its neck out if a guest is even slightly controversial. This weird climate of fear to discuss anything but rather pretend it does not exist anymore is surely going to bite us all in the ass down the road.
You said NORM was one the best guest you ever had and then you cancel him without any explanation because of pressure of bunch of SJW. Did not except this from conan .
I'm about to unsubscribe because of this whole cancelling Norm Macdonald business. Conan is (now "was") my favorite talk show host so that's saying a lot. #ImWithNorm
@@ttevaughnjr Well, it does impact me indirectly. Norm is one of my favorite comedians. If he's "vilified" for his comments (which he clarified and/or apologized for), then he can't continue making content which I enjoy. Sure, there are other (maybe/subjectively better) comedians out there, but the precedent that norms "case" sets (in the trial by public opinion) is important. P.S. - I'm all for the #MeToo movement. If Norm is NOT in the wrong here, then grouping him with Harvey Weinstein can only hurt the movement by making it seem erroneous.
Norm is the funniest guest ever on conan, please have him on, dont understand how america supposedly has free speech but someone speaks there mind in a reasonable way and is stopped from working again its pathetic
