Hey! looks like you fixed it but my 924 turbo all of a sudden didn't crank and I found out that the alternator had been disconnected from the battery... I was driving before and it started to run very rough so I brought it back to the garage, and then inspecting it, found that the alternator wasn't connected, leading my battery to die. Hope this helps anyone else who runs into this issue!
The same thing happened to me. I figured out the alternator wasn't connected to the battery, so nothing was charging the battery while I was driving. It then led to a dead battery which resulted in no crank
