Went out early one morning to do some solo jug fishing from my kayak. It was a blast. I caught several catfish using these jugs and they sure ran me to death lol. Subscirbe for more!!!
I'm not going to tell you how to set them, as you can see how well you did, but I'd suggest only 6-8' of line under your jugs. They'll smell the bait, come up and get it, and when they head back down towards the bottom they'll hook themselves. I've had really great luck with the hotdogs/strawberry koolaid (unsweetened) and minced garlic for bait. I've tried them head to head against cut bait and the hotdogs have always won out, usually 3-1 better than cut bait. I also put a split shot about a foot above the hook to get the bait back down a little quicker. Again, everything works, but I've had better luck with shorter line than longer. Those blues would have looked darn good coming out of the fryer. :)
Looks like a fun way to get some exercise. Never jug fished . Dang sucks a few fell off after all that paddling. After some fumbling with the net got on landed lol got like 8 or 9 not bad at all . Good video 😊🤙
I am getting a kayak next week. Can’t wait to do this I’m sure your freezer is full but right now I can’t imagine not eating those fish lolol. Just subscribed.
Yank on the line as you bring the noodle up to make sure a good hook set or a missed fished at the beginning. You will find greater hook sets. Just like rod and reel, pull the slack and hook set. Great content
I see you got you a few of them ole channels.. that first channel was sure dark and a pretty fish and for their size they are a strong fish, looks like a blast
