@@BvngeeGvm in different continuities such as the live action movies and a few animated series, yes you would be right. However he is not a mutant in the main comic book continuity, you know, the only source that really matters, the source material
@@BvngeeGvm nope. He's presented as a mutant in the movies but he's not in the original comics. The source of his powers is mystical (the gem of Cyttorak was created by a demon named Cyttorak). Juggernaut has no mutant powers.
@@randallwegman1028 Thanks. Idk which came first, but Vinny's Juggernaut says to Page's Kitty Pride "Don't you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!" In X-Men 3
The point of him not being a mutant says that Jimmy's power to nullify mutant powers would NOT work on him, so he should have been able to bust through the wall behind Kitty Pryde.
Lulz they made him a mutant in that stupid movie so unfortunately Leech's powers worked on him Still trying to figure out why Leech's skin wasn't green, nor was he a morlock
Juggy VS Dr.Strange is interesting battle as they BOTH use abilities from Cyttorak. Strange often uses the "Crimson bands of cyttorak" as grappling tools often in the Movies and Comics so that's an interesting matchup for that reason alone.
The way Dr. Strange uses the Crimson Bands is a little less physical than the way Juggernaut using them. Think of a surgeon ( as was Dr. Strange's former occupation) & think of Friday the 13th character Jason who's a physical character ( Juggernaut)
Not to mention Juggy's power imput is directly tied to what he wants to do... Strange can only use a fraction while Juggernaut has potential access to 100% full power. Sad to say that's a fight Strange is losing, just taking into account the fact Marko is Cytorracks CHOSEN avatar he'd understand there's no victory unless he uses other Magic to draw on
Agree to disagree, pal. Dr Strange already demonstrated that he can overcome those more powerful than himself. In his first movie, he conquered Dormammu, or however you spell it. Plus, Juggernaut is practically just a walking tank, anyway, even though Juggernaut’s mental capacity would prevent him from accessing 100% of this potential you refer to. Besides, unless there’s actually a movie, comic, or episode of an MCU relevant show with them both in it, it’s endlessly debatable. I’d honestly rather see him fight Hulk anyway. They might have fought in the past. Idk, but if it was real, Hulk would win that one too, especially the new and improved Hulk who retains his brain power in his Hulk form. On top of that, Juggernaut is said to be “unstoppable” once he builds up his momentum, ie…kinetic energy. Well, if you’ve watched the the games/movies/cartoons/comics, you’d know that he has to be able to run to do this. All you’d have to do to stop him or hinder his momentum is take out the ground from under him. Dr Strange, Hulk, Thor, Superman, Scarlet Witch (need I keep going) could all do that easily. Or, I suppose you could lasso him (I’m thinking Wonder Woman here) and lift him up off the ground, as it’s unbreakable. Although that would probably take Superman and either Dr Strange or Wonder Woman or maybe Scarlet Witch to conjure a magic lasso like that. Or maybe Shazam, Black Adam, Iron Man, Green Lantern, Hawkman, or The Wasp could do the flying part, and then his momentum would eventually dissipate. All kinetic energy dissipates once halted or having removed the source.
@@Whitebreadonly Yeah... sad to say our conversation was over the moment you said movie TV or game lol... The only measurable way to get an answer to this is knowing source materials, I can list off as many examples as I want for both sides but you wouldn't understand it. You have a nice theory though
@@Whitebreadonly But I have a comic you'd like because it's a series that features all of them, and it's a decent display of all their powers... World War Hulk... to save you the prequel bits.. The Illuminati sent him away to a distant planet after he raged in Las Vegas as Joe Fixit. He became a Gladiator on the planet Sakaar and in the process fell in love with the Red King's bodyguard Kiara and they have a son.. The aircraft the Illuminati sent him in exploded and it wiped out a good chunk of the population and his wife and kid died. He vows to come back to Earth and make The Illuminati pay for what they did to him.. my guy he almost wins. This line is considered to have the Hulk the strongest he's ever been and its such an important comic the MCU jut announced their gonna try to make it work.
I showed my mom a clip of the Deadpool movie where Juggernaut tells Colossus he's gonna melt him down into a cokring, I have never seen her laugh so hard. I also showed her the fight scene where Dp t-bags Cable and now we plan to watch Dp 1 and 2 together next time she's off work. I can't wait to hear the laughter that's gonna come outta her. @@damianprock1650 I they could've just said Vinny Jones's character took the name Juggernaut because he was a fan of Cain and nobody would've had an issue with him in THAT role.
Juggernaut is a beast and it lightweight saddens me that Every movie Cameo he had didn't do him any justice 😮💨....at least Deadpool's movie interpretation of him at least looked comic accurate 🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Agree with the first part, not the second. Juggernaut has physically ripped through dimensions...the only reason he seems weak is because he can't comprehend how strong can be.
He didn't trust Wolverine until he hitchhiked inside Wolverine's brain and body and that's when came to better understand Wolverine, it was over a decade ago I think
Although his power source stem from the Gem, as everyone in the comment section knows, when the Gem is unbounded from him his body is permanently mutated from the gem. So although he is definitely not definitionally a mutant by X Gene standards, so he doesn't qualify to be a omega level mutant, his body is permanently mutated with or without mystical energy or gem.
@@scottingalls8460 I didn't say he was, I was clarifying that even though his powers stem from the Gem, because the Gem has permanently mutated him he has the raw physical powers still without the gem, even though that is the source of his power. He's not a mutant, but mutated. I wasn't contradicting that he's not a mutant.
Wolverine faceed off with Juggernaut alone in issue 93 of the original Wolverine regular series. Wolverine did this with only bone claws after Magneto ripped out the metal in his body. Juggernaut backed off Wolverine got his name for a reason. Wolverine was not afraid. Spider-man faced off with Juggernaut as well. Juggernaut is extremely powerful but he's not a mutant it's magic based power.
I just got Juggy in Marvel Snap yesterday, great Card. (He knocks the opponents cards out of the location when played, and if you reveal first they don't even get to do their effects in the desired location) Also got an amazing Variant card art for Him as well. Just here as a refresher on the character. I've not read any Comics in years. I think His origin is covered in the X-Men cartoon as well.
The whole concept of Juggernaut originally would be a physically unstoppable entity that requires actual teamwork to take down. Solo heroes that have physical abilities only, such as spiderman, wolverine or the hulk would actually be incapable of taking Juggernaut out completely. Playing it clever, would at most- disable him temporarily, and of course, as we know- comics is often about beating the impossible odds - more than usual, laced with the personal bias of the writer of said comic. So yes, the juggernaut would find his match in 1 vs 1 against plenty of heroes, even though this was never meant to be his original concept. Comics are a fickle thing, and hardly ever consistent, being written by various writers whom obviously have various takes and preferences about heroes and villains, some more shitty than others. It's just how it is. I like his original concept, and if I were to create a comic featuring the juggernaut, I would make him a nigh-unbeatable force of nature (or rather, magic as cythorak is) which could only be beaten by clever teamwork and a lot of effort. Ah well, that's my two cents, at least.
I was angry one night years ago, went to the movie theater, put one quarter in Marvel Super Heroes and played as Juggernaut. A kid came up and put his quarter on the game. He watched as I crushed a couple opponents because "I'm Unstoppable!" He then slowly retracted his quarter and walked away. I went through all them on that one quarter. I wasn't mad after all that. Being Juggernaut is quite therapeutic. 💪

If Disney had any brains they'd make this a serious live-action movie. Along w/ a movie for every character, good & bad & in between. & build up to a proper X-men franchise similar to what the MCU did w/ the Avengers

Like many other people who watched this video have said The Juggernaut isn't a mutant. His powers are magical and they come from The Crimson Gem of Cyttorak. The person who created this video must only know The Juggernaut from the movies and must have never read a comic with The Juggernaut in it before in their life.
The guys never call the Juggernaut a mutant he gave back story of all different iteration of the characters from the movies, comics and animated series.
So wait a minute when juggernauts father was passing away he told Xavier not to tell Juggernaut about his powers that he had or not to tell him about Xavier's power?
I hated the way that they done The Juggernaut in X Man The Last Stand. The shit that they did at the end with getting him knocked out because he loses his powers because of the kid was straight up garbage. @@sambageian I've seen enough videos on the Juggernaut, I'm less likely to watch it as well when he puts mutant on the thumbnail, makes him look ignorant. So yeah, still a stupid thing to put in the thumbnail.
I remember as a kid I had this set of Marvel roll playing guides. Like one of those D&D monster manuals. It used to upset the dorkly order of things because in there Jugs had god level strength and endurance while the Hulk in any form only had super human or something. Made the Hulk loving nerdlings in the group really upset and dismiss such a thought outright. But I would always point it out in my best crackly 'Um, Actually' voice.
For all the "Juggernaut is not a mutant" stands who came to the comments to say that... 6:36 he clearly says here about Jug not being a mutant! Was cleared up and explained well in the video!
