but its a little generic, you can hear this muffling and rising noise (typically that metallic rising noise when a character is going insane etc) during almost every big anime attack
It's not supposed to sound like it's underwater. It's supposed to sound like you hearing it in space, which I know doesn't make sense. Probably inspired by the Halo reach multiplayer map where you fighting in space for a while. It sounds like that.
@@FreeLitoobecause sound design can communicate and capture the setting. Sound design isn't just simply replicating the sound of what the thing sounds like. Lodging a massive sword into the ground probably doesn't sound like what the greatsword sounds like in monster hunter world _but_ the sound design for the greatsword effortlessly conveys the sheer power and weight. Muffled, *imo* , doesn't really convey a simultaneous endlessness and an emptiness (caused by that endlessness). Going for a traditional space sounding (and there *is* a space sound because you know space operas, space scifi, space dramas, etc) sound would do that because space is vast but relatively very empty. I'm not saying that is or would be the only way to capture what experiencing gojo's domain would be like, I'm just saying muffled wasn't it and the tried and true would've worked.
The ding when he rips of Jogo's head is kinda hilarious to me. Sounds like he's waiting for his food in the microwave to finish and his smile just solidifies how silly it seems.
Love it. Small input: it’d be great if there were distorted or sped up sounds of animals, conversations, sounds of natures, oceans, civilizations, all at once since if I remember right, his ability overloads the senses with total perception and knowledge of everything
@@hak0buin the anime jogo thinks to himself and says he can't feel or see anything but then realizes he can feel and see everything but the information is never complete, then Gojo says it's ironic that when you're given everything you can't do anything. So yeah they explain it in the show, just not directly telling the viewer what's happening.
This video made some cuts to the scene, in the show when it's zooms in on Jogo's eye it cuts to an image of a mirrored tree with bird and general nature sounds and then to what looks like an atom(?) and some underwater bubbles, both with water sounds. So the original scene does sort of have what you're talking about.
damn, you captured the feeling of forebodingness when he pulled the domain at 0:02 , also I got the sense of endless stream of information along with Jogo which makes everything feel more terrifying. Nice work!
I personally really enjoyed it, to me it almost played on the nonchalance that Gojo just oozes. In all that cosmic knowledge a sense of humor goes a long way.
this is so cool. I've recently started paying attention to sound design bc the sound design in my adventures with superman has just been distracting. It's like missing depth/reality bc they have dialogue and like the sfx for things that are on screen and like nothing else. wild. great job!
you know what. Gojos domain is actually significantly scarier than i first thought. imagine having the incomprehensible knowledge of the fucking universe shoved into your head. ON LOOP
I actually like this a lot more than the original because even though the original sounds more... how do you say.. popping? The edited one sounds literally otherworldly and something beyond the understanding of a mere human, which is the premise of Gojo's abilities and the world of Jjk as a whole.
Saw this on my desktop, then had to re-watch it on my TV connected to my 7.1 soundbar. Great score and sound design is very important to me when I watch shows/movies. It can be the difference between a good movie and an award winning movie. Dune (2021) is a good example of why good score and sound design is very important.
If you were high while watching this you definatly feel how jogo was feeling just being in the domain just trust don't ask how ik that.......last tip listen with headphones🔥
I now understand why there is a different engineering department for sound. I felt it inside my brain bro. You just put me inside his domain expansion. You teleported me into the void man. I'm in nowhere now.
i still prefer the original sound design for infinity void but the sounds of physical contacts here are top notch, definitely prefer them over the original
Not going to lie, I am big on good audio and will only watch good anime on my good headphones rather than on my phone. Jujutsu Kaisen was one of them but after watching this, I feel like I could have gotten more. This is one of the best re-designs for sound in an anime I have seen. I hope that you get hired or something to do sound design for shows cause god are you good at it.
One day I hope to be really good at sound-designing such as this awesome work of art. Nothing to do but keep going to classes and doing work. Keep it up dude!
Real nice job, I thought it was gonna be that array of bass boosted bloops that sound like a broken stereo that seem to be the hype nowadays, but I was very pleasantly surprised.
if Unlimited Void shows you all the knowledge in the universe, then surely that would include knowledge on how to defeat Gojo and/or Sukuna. It wouldn't matter though since it turns you into a vegetable.
