Jujutsu Shenanigans... 1 month later. 

Shenanigans did something I haven't really seen with other BG games. It brought it more than just other BG game fans. Friends of mine who hate BG games love shenanigans.

8:00 they actually did. They moved a tree a pixel to the right. Also, the reason why yuji and Megumi have less hp is more technical. Yuji’s R cancels a move for bar to avoid counters, has 2 combo extenders with the third combing off of the last m1 or the 2 move and a counter. Yuji is made for sweats so he gets less hp cause they do so much damage. Megumi on the other hand, from the looks of it, is a fucking runner character. Big ass bird that you can get dragged on and is unblockable, rabbit escape forces a block, toad grabs you and forces you to block and has hyper, and seemingly a domain expansion that works only indoors but is indestructible and probably buffs you. People would be fine with it getting 70 tbh if they don’t need the running part

Yes, the strongest battlegrounds is so money hungry you have to pay for a search bar on the emotes.

as long as sweats don't invade jujutsu shenanigans, it will be one of the best fighting games on roblox. unrelated thing: i had a dream where they re-added this old unreleased mechanic where you could pick up debris from the ground and throw it at people with the move on vessel, crushing blow.

I feel like both games complete the battlegrounds formula. Strongest and other bg games are more so sweat fests and are taken more in a competitive light, whereas shenanigans is more like the “items on” of smash bros, which has less depth competitively and skillfully, but still has an equal if not higher amount of depth due to all the new scenarios and environments

The sad thing is that sweats are ruining the game 😭😭😭

I personally really like the abilities in jujutsu shenanigans because of how raw and nice they feel ESPECIALLY hitting a black flash into a jumping 3 for yuji. Its not just only how good they feel but the freeness that you have when using them like the R button, or jumping variants.

Bro im currently working as a waiter in cafe shenanigans. its not like other battlegrounds and i love it. People are fun and nice. The destruction, the environment, and secret moves???? Bro thats what got me shocked and hooked. It is a refreshing game and i love it. The epic fight of people fighting their way through the floors of a building is AMAZING.

I think the comedic style, chiller community, and mixed aspects of parkour, destruction, and combat, make it a better experience than TSB for me, mostly because I lack the skill to fight in a flat baseplate. but sometimes you can use your terrain to your advantage. Which I like..

something that makes jjs so much better to me is the way they go about developing it, especially with recent updates in both games. Saitama battlegrounds put a QoL change behind a paywall, put genuine effort into a character that was then made admin exclusive, and added a single new move in its last update which took a good 2 weeks to make in that same time jjs has added: free ps+ escaping teamer combos completed hakari wall bouncing 3 megumi moves (+an awakening animation) free building tools (with keybinds and free save slots) on top of several bug fixes, optimisations, and balancing patches

theres also one thing that shenanigans also has which is pretty cool, the mechanics of course like for example if ur gojo and u have ur base moveset u can use ur red then R the special skill to make a teleportation behind the opponent ur aiming at or are with combat , and when u use blue and kick them into the air and use R on them when they are mid air it kicks them down, it also works when ur opponent is mid air so, theres also something with the ultimate with gojo maximum lapse blue finisher + max red into the blue ball u create a purple, what takes ur ult for balancing and it dose pretty good dmg i guess , theres also a pretty cool thing with yujis ult aka sukuna when u press 1 3 2 R quickly in a row in yujis ult u perform a world slash what dose pretty good dmg but it might get dodged or something.

jujutsu shenanigans is also fun because not only do we not have to wait months for a very detailed update with only one character move but instead get a bunch of character moves in one update because the game isnt focused on visuals and combat, but also because they have so many little tiny features that make the game fun, such as domain breaking, parkour as mentioned, or making your own hollow purple, and also the movesets being so unique, like where have you seen a megumi on a BG game that has toad, or gojos black flash or anything like that In short, jujutsu shenanigans is cool bc it has fast updates, a bunch of small but fun features and unique movesets

I personally like shenanigans more because I really like how the dev communicates a lot and actually tells us things and polls more. Meanwhile flowers literally makes fun of us and treats us like garbage and recently showed how unbelievably money hungry he is with the search bar gamepass.

I feel like jujutsu shenanigans is like a game if you want a funny goofy and sort of combat game.While TSBG is more if you like combat and the effects.

To respond to you at 6:08 , some charaxtere having less hp is nessesary for their playstyle to be balanced, and just straight up lowering their damage/ mobility would make them loose their uniqueness and everyone would have the same playstyle. Let's take yuji, the point of the charactere is to land good and damaging combo, while having good neutral, due to having combo extender, feint and a really good counter. If you didnt lower his hp, he would always win 1v1 against a player with his level, due to him having better true combo, while having more tools to get around his oponent block. And lowering his damage would make him loose his point, making it bland and unfun. If we take megumi, he has really good mobility, range and neutral. You want that when the opponent catch him, he get punished more heavily than other charactere, or it would be frustrating to fight against. If you nerfed any of his strength, he would have the same problem, and be bland. Hope this helped you to have a better understanding of what the devs intended to do!

Man, i remember playing it and my friend said some fire lines like "through cities and skies... we alone are the goofiest ones."

I feel like JJS resembles a bit more of Black Magic than TSB. (Elaboration on "more Black Magic than TSB": JJS took the same development format of Black Magic, content over graphics.) While it IS a Battlegrounds game, it does NOT try to capture the essence of a Battlegrounds game and it turned into a mix of multiple ideas. JJS is practically taking the original Black Magic format and adding it in the Battlegrounds style, it's graphically low quality but makes up for it with a bunch of functionality and mechanics. I do not doubt the addition of more and more parkour mechanics, parkour in this game was a vision very early on and I do not see that stopping. JJS uses the Battlegrounds formula and experiments with it, JJS feels different because it mixes a seemingly unrelated or unthought of idea and just makes it feel like it should be there. JJS definitely deserves a trophy for what it has done in the Battlegrounds community, and I usually think pretty low of the Battlegrounds space.ww

I like the destructibility of the game because it makes me feel like im in a movie like the man of steel launching people through the buildings. I've seen people dressed up as all might slamming people all the way through one of the skyscrapers all the way to the bottom. In simple terms it makes you feel like a badass yet goofy

To sum it up, there’s a reason it’s called “jujustu shenanigans” it’s not to be compared to a battlegrounds game, it’s a “shenanigans” game, it’s its own thing, one is about being competitive and one is for goofy fun

the reason different characters have a different amount of health is there combo abilities, like megumi, and gojo having long range abilities being harder to combo off of, while hakari and yuji having more combo potential giving them less health to even it out. Idk if i explained that well but i hope that somewhat paints a picture of why there's a health difference

The developer needs more attention. Holygrail, you should make a video about this guy. Tze has been an amazing developer, especially for creating great ideas, but his games just didn't pay off. Until now. About one year ago (prob more) I first learned about tze, by a video that Infu made about a Jojo's game, totally generic jojo game refreshed (idk if the name is the same). The game had amazing combat, the cutscenes were just amazing, you should search it, even HW5567 made a video. But the game just didn't pay off. Tze just abandoned it, finally. After some time, he became kind of a fan of kny, and because of this, he made a game of kny. This Kny game had ALSO destruction physic and probably the best VFX, SFX, and animations that you will ever see off a kny game. He posted a couple of videos on his channel, and obviously, it gained popularity. But then it happened the worst. Because the salty community and the pressure he was put while making the game, it was eventually cancelled and never released. You can see the movesets in tze's channel if you want. Right after this, I remember he was hired as a developer for a kny bg game, BEFORE sbg's release, and you may know it, It's Rogue demon. Tze brang justice to this game, making it a lot popular and basically making it quite famous too, I remember when there was like 27k concurrent players. At some point when sbg released, the game began to fall off until it was eventually forgotten. What happened to tze? Well, he continued to make little developer stuff, movesets, techs, things like this. Until now. It is suprising how I saw in his dicord, the tze's (there was really few people, and at this point it was pretty much dead) tze uploding the first video on jjs, which was not even named jjs, I believe it was called rogue jujutsu or smth like this, like a tribute to the old rogue demon. It is really surpising how a practically dead server became one of the biggest games on roblox because people saw how tze really was, a really creative dev. I am proud to be an OG and know him before this popularity hit him.

The only time domain expansions dont instantly mean your death is if its hakari's domain, which is funny since you can just pop your own ult during their domain expansion and wipe away their HP, let alone just draw out your combos as much as possible to get someone to break it on the outside

Very well made video. In my opinion you can’t compare tsb and jjs. My reason for this is because jjs isn’t a bg game, or else it would be called jujutsu battlegrounds. It’s called jujutsu shenanigans because your not supposed to sweat, or make 1 shot combos, your meant to just mess around and have fun with your friends and the silly and lowkey aspects really add to that.

Shenanigans is so unique because its a straight up goofy version of battlegrounds but it still has some wonderful mechanics

to be honest,this game feels more casual,with it being slower.also,the fact that they almost completed a whole character's base moveset and a (probably placeholder) ult (that only heals you for now) is crazy.

I think the reason people say that it’s better than the strongest battlegrounds is that it never gets old with the special abilities and combining them with your fighting moves It really helps make it feel fresh also with yuji itadori’s black flash I feel like it makes it exactly an actual black flash would be like because you’re getting really heated. You focus a lot and then it’ll just have you in a state of just like I can win this ynknow

i enjoy jjs simply because the animation for the domains are dope as hell

the "health system" seems to be inspired by the system Capcom fighting games have of characters having different health bars in order to create what is commonly known by glass cannon characters (like Akuma from the SF series)

Also when it comes to mechanics jjs takes the cake especially now sense they added the gojo black flash. In the manga when gojo was fighting sukuna, gojo missed his red at sukuna, so gojo decided to make red go around a whole building to meet up with sukuna and hit his back into gojo doing a black flash, WHICH YOU CAN DO NOW IN JJS

I found a fun way to combine yujis passive with the parkour mechanics, you can use his first and second move’s Ariel forms and just feint ability to gain distance and height, allowing for incredible freedom around the map. You can get to places no other characters can

As a veteran of saitama battlegrounds aka tsb i can admit shenanigans HAS the potential to surpass tsb or even team up with their devs and hold the number 1 place together. Tsb is loved because it was the first for many who introduced this type of arena game, but shenanigans is trying to revolutionise the battleground style and its the only one who does it properly. Instead of focusing 100% on graphics and effects, they focus mostly on the gameplay and how fun it is. And yes my first character was hakari and when i realized how fun it is to 4v1 people with the jackpot i fell in love also the parkour.

Holy grail! Please try out solo showdown! It has some enteraction (portals that teleport around the map) and really good quality fighting and attacks :D And it only released just now!

Coming from a 6k kill player on tsbg, i enjoy JJS more since it not nearly as toxic as TSBG and i personally play JJS when i have fun and TSBG when i feel competitive. it all depends on the players preferences

Fun fact:One of his member videos an AI teaches him how to play TSB and he legit goes insane.

My friend and I tried to break the game in a ps by having no cool downs and spamming Megumi's Nue (bird) and Hakari Mode 3. We found out that each player has their own "brick" limit. Each player can spawn in a limited amount of rubble, after that if you continue to destroy stuff, it won't spawn in rubble anymore, effectively capping the rubble. I like how each player has their own limit instead of it being a server limit. It did get kinda laggy, the rubble fell in slow motion, moves took longer but it's cool to see the developer think of a way to stop the servers from crashing.

the health difference between the jjs characters makes it have more element of risk like yuji/sukuna have hight dmg but lower health

shenanigans is the only other battleground game that actually changes up the method of what a battleground game can be. maybe one day it will be as great as daddy tsb

I feel like another major pro Jujutsu Shenanigans has going for it that you didn't mention is that it is based off of Jujutsu Kaisen. I know it may seem obvious, but think about it. JJK is arguably the most popular manga in the world as of right now, and most of the JJK battlegrounds games on Roblox don't really innovate or change anything from the TSB formula. JJS heavily leans into its gameplay and playstyle to shape and mold new mechanics that work well with the current gameplay (e.g TSB's huge aoe & large map; JJS's parkour & smaller ultimate moves to resonate with the smaller map). The JJK Roblox community has probably been hungry for a good, smooth battlegrounds game to play for a while now (sorcerers & cursed are not smooth or innovative).

And the best thing is that theres free private server commands to mess around with or without friends. NO ROBUX NEEDED FOR IT

Honestly the thing that I love doing in jujutsu shenanigans is having a 1v1v1v1 with random people on the big towers.

This video actually made me want to play Jujutsu Shenanigans for once. After about half an hour of doing random shit, i encounterered some teamers and got in a 2v1, 3v1, 4v2 then 5v2 Somehow, it was actually fun.

I found this video when it came out 5 seconds ago which in my opinion is insane

1:04 the strongest battlegrounds will always be the best because of these reasons the best combat system probably cool moves and because we have you and fadeunchanged

imagine if jujutsu shenanigans have no controversies, no problematic devs, good release dates and a kind community that would never be mad at the deva for taking a break, like that would be impossible (trying to jinx myself)

My friends who hate Battlegrounds games OBSESS over Shenanigans, I think it really hit something different with the genre

I really think jjs is a breath of fresh air as most new bg games and sbg really started to make their game more competition and sweat based instead of just having fun. jjs is funny cool and isnt very sweaty and it makes me go back to when garou was first released and I thought it was killua. the good ol days

tbh honest jjs is a game where is not for graphics or smooth gameplay its about the chaotic and funny moments in it and in tsb its about if u want a smooth gameplay and sweet graphics (and maybe some chaotic moments) but overall both of them are great games just better in their own ways

It’s the goofiness of what can happen. And fun fact: there are a lot of children who can’t play high quality games. JJS is not a high quality game, but it is still enjoyable and is enjoyed by many.

The holy grail if you use maximum output red with the gojo character and press r at the right time this red orb hits your opponent and pulls it to you which leads to a black flash

The design philosophy for the health is that Gojo and Hakari are designed to be easier to use but a lower skill ceiling. Hakari and Gojo both have easy combos and some light tech with an ult that is just press buttons Yujikuna and Megumi both are higher skill ceiling characters. Yujikuna having feint tech and tight timings on combos and the ability to do crazy stuff with a little more effort and his ult isn’t just press button for big attack on all of his attacks. Same with Megumi who even unfinished can still literally loop and mixup players for free if you understand the character and its mechanics. Seriously Megumi is actually one of the best characters and he only has 4 moves. Once he gets his fifth and an actual ult hes gonna be genuinely crazy.

It’s very good still geting used to it snd pretty good prob and the rating is good kinda it’s really funny if the server has vc

both games are amazing, but imo i think jujutsu shenanigans is more fun since theres stuff like parkour system,breakable enviroment and etc but i think i enjoyed jujutsu shenanigans a bit more.

I think they made the HP differences to correlate more towards the play style of each character. like how Yuki has high damage and consistent combos which makes him a glass cannon. while hakari and goji have more because they are more of an al around character, and megrim being more of a zoner and having a less aggressive and more opportunistic play style so its appropriate for him to get punished more when he does get hit.
