I just got my new machine and due to COVID-19 lockdown I was unable to have a demo re the basic functions of the machine. Could you do a tutorial on the threading of the machine and other features of the DDL 8000a?
I have this machine, but can’t fathom how to select and deselect the functions. Could you please, please, please do a series of tutorials so that owners like myself can use the machine to it’s potential. I’m sure it would inspire others to buy this model if they could see all it can do and understand how to apply the features.
Yes, due to our latest COVID lockdown in Sydney NSW I am unable to have a full demo of all the features until the lockdown is over(maybe not until the end of August!) So I'm totally relying on RU-vid for my 'lessons'!
Hello, it’s the very first video I came across since I got my DDL8000a . I was looking every where for any informative video. Thank you for sharing this video and please post more. I changed the feed dogs for heavy sewing but I can feel it’s little tighter now.what can I do to make it sew normal with out Harvey sound.
The bar tack option looks amazing. Could you do a video on how to program it? I'm finding the when back stitches are really long and it's making a weird bar tack.
What is the smallest and largest size needle/thread you can use on this machine?when you broke the needle did it give you an error code or throw it out of timing?
Is this machine suitable for sewing heavy fabrics (eg wool coats)? I would like to buy a new machine just for coat making as I would keep my Pfaff one for sewing with lighter fabrics.
I have this machine but have no idea of how to set the pressure foot to a certain depth, it automatically stops in the downward position. Could you please tell me if you have a set of instructions for the settings on this machine, or could you please direct me to a channel that explains it. It would be very much appreciated.
Can anyone tell me if this is a heavy-duty machine? I would like to buy this machine but really cannot make up my mind between a medium or heavy machine.
On the model tag in the front of the machine is a QR code. Scan it and you can access the instructional manual that has all the error codes in the back pages. It also gives instructions for each code to fix the issue.
Hello sir, I purchased one of these JUKI 8000A. However, when I try and sew with it, the stitch length is the same no matter how much I turn to right or left. I mean it doesn't really make any difference if I change to 1 or 5mm. Do you know how to fix this issue? :) Thanks in advance
Ok, here we go. Started in textiles in the late 70's . Started seeing Juki DDL555, Japan's version of a Singer 241, with a backtack lever. Let's go 10 years forward, year 1987 maybe, My machine is a DDL-5550-6, gray machine. control box crapped out (will be repairing that) So I bought a DDL-8000A, is there a way to make it shut up? If I can't, I'd really like to hack the voice and use someone like Lewis Black. Hey! We can change our ringtones, right? Beauty machine, but give me back my 5550...
Sorry for the slow response Sandra, we will be monitoring this account more frequently now that we know where all the comments are. No, no quilting foot comes with the machine.
I'm a little hazy on this machine, but I'm sure there's a setting for automatic backtack. Otherwise, just hit the lever to reverse on after you initial stitch and on the last stitch.
I can do anything if I set my mind to it. Here's an article on what it takes to sew certain products; www.cutsew.com/what-juki-industrial-sewing-machine-do-i-need
