I thought the title said 'Mocks Conan's Moronic, Impotent "Thirst"' and I assumed she was going to do an impression of him coming on to women on his show
She has such a sexy-goofy laugh. You can tell when she finds something funny she'll replay it over and over in her head cause she just can't stop laughing lol
The Thist actually came from lecturers holding the switch thingy that you hold in your hand to switch slides while they lecture. (No joke) People kept speaking with that motion because it looks natural for a lecturer.
kynes333 here in Malaysia, the Malay people usually use this gesture to point a direction for an enderly , it is deemed more polite than pointing it the normal way. Can't say where it originates from tho
hand gestures are as old as democracy. greeks and romans already used those gestures when lecturing or discussing. in the hbo series "rome" it is displayed pretty nicely in some scenes. the word gesture even comes from latin gestus/verb gerere which means something like to display/show of or to act out and specifically meant artificial movements to underline and illustrate what actors, lecturers, news readers and so forth were talking about. "switch thingy to switch slides"? do you mean a stick to turn pages in a book? back in the days of rome they would either read from wax tablets or from scrolls. no binded books far as i know.
Why does she look so much better here than on any show she's been on? I mean, she looks seriously hot in this clip and I've never found her to be more than "above average" before. Is it the tan? Is it because she doesn't have the awful Elaine hair? Did she have some work done? I don't understand it.
I actually like her because of her hair. It was that frizzy wavy hair that made her so attractive and pretty to me. Her Mediterranean ancestry blessed her with a full head of hair...something many men AND women envy. It's funny that what is attractive to one is unattractive to another.
+thevoxdeus I wonder if she just played that clunky, clutsty Elaine so well, that all we saw (she was not supposed to be 'sexy' per se) - sign of a good actress ? Plus, doesn't help to have vestiges of the 80's and 90's stylistic choices washing your senses....
She was referring to me with that comment. I was in the audience, and she was eyeing me the whole time she was out there. Later a man handed me a piece of paper with her # telling me to contact her within 25minutes. I called it, and lets just say it wasn't dry, and she put up no fuss
I love that when a celebrity is over 35 and look stunning, everyone immediatley just assume he/she done plastic surgery....not everyone does it, you know. There is other things you can do to keep you look good, and you can clearly see if someone has done it or not...Julia Louis-Dreyfus is one of the celebrities who hasnt
It seems she gets more attractive the older she gets. She’s more attractive in the later half of the seasons of Seinfeld, although early 90s fashion has something to do with that. But she’s just a really attractive women with really good energy
Julia is 54 years old. unfucking believable, she is a very attractive woman, and she's funny. No wonder she's still married to the same guy, he would have to be an idiot to let her go. oh and did I mention, she's got lots of money.
for folks who dont know including loui d the "thist" gesture is used because it resembles a hand giving something precise a document pamphlet etc something with a summarized piece of information
DEAR LORD, I'm IN LOVE. She's 53 and so smart, funny, classy, talented, and just GORGEOUS. Damn, wish she was married and interested in a guy who's 20 years younger.
I learned how to deal cards a few years ago and one of the things the instructor taught us was to never point at someone. To indicate someone you use either an open palm or a fist.
The "thist" is the same hand gesture and positioning us conductors use with our right hand when conducting, be it with or without baton! Ah...so it's called a "thist" 😂😂
Looks, sense of humor, and moderate to big sports fan. That's essentially all it takes. She has at least 2 of the 3. My only complaint? Well, those last couple years of Seinfeld. The hairstyle she had. Maybe it was just for the show.
strange that this gets recommended to me now ^^ anyways these hand gestures are as old as democracy. greeks and romans already used those gestures when lecturing or discussing. in the hbo series "rome" it is displayed pretty nicely in some scenes. the word gesture even comes from latin gestus/verb gerere which means something like to display/show of or to act out and specifically meant artificial movements to underline and illustrate what actors, lecturers, new readers and so forth were talking about. so that's what gestures are ...
