I'd actually say that part of Pat's comedy also came from the fact that they were kind of a socially-awkward individual in general, with or without the androgyny.

People change, and hopefully improve, as time goes on. So does society. We need to allow people to grow, to become better versions of themselves, as they age. This seemed relatively well-handled.

I liked the Pat movie. Really enjoyed Julia Sweeney's comedy about Spokane, Washington. Would like to see a documentary with Pat and Martin Short's Jackie Rogers Junior.
