I hope he does NOT but I would appreciate why he would, if he does want to leave. Haaland will start most of the season. Gomes transfer is a travesty imo. Why managers treat ppl like that, I will NEVER KNOW. Left to almost rot on the bench even against weak teams.

Love Pep, but his decision making last season was the poorest since he’s been at City. Playing Alvarez all over the attack and never the position that’s he’s always played especially when it came at the expense of Foden in 2nd half of season was absurd. Pep has always said he likes competition for positions bc it keeps players sharp and hungry. Kinda odd that wasn’t the case for Haaland. Perhaps if Haaland had some serious competition with Alvarez up top, he’d have finished more big chances and sitters he missed and Alvarez would likely not be asking for a move. I completely understand where Julian is coming from. He needs to be in a team where he can hone and build his skills as a 9. Wish he could stay, but I guess with Pep, we have to take the rough with the smooth.

If the news on Alvarez is via Marco Foroni (might not be), it's wishful thinking from Inter Milan, where Lautaro Martínez plays (Argentine striker). Foroni is a football journalist based in Milan. Inter play a double striker system (City's CL finalist opponents). Lukaku left and they're dreaming Alvarez will double up with Martínez. Inter couldn't stump up for Lukaku (~ €35m) - they are ABSOLUTELY DREAMING if they think they can sign Alvarez. Cloud 9? Cloud 99.

If he’s got four years left on his contract why are they looking to increase the term? They made that mistake when they gave Cancelo a ridiculously long contract and how did that end up? If he wants to go then get rid, but he has to realise he isn’t in a position to be calling the shots. A stormy twelve months for the club coming up I think.
