"But I won't mention royalty at this moment" - bloody folded me muhn! :D Julian, it's always been a pleasure seeing the fruits of your labour - as a humble extra I empathise with alot of what you say [though less of the fine treatment part as extras are extras haha]. Cariad fawr a iechyd da i chi a dy'n deulu x

Great discussion at the end of this. It totally echoed thoughts I've had about Welsh cinema and the Welsh film industry. I feel like it's perfect timing for myself as a writer. I've been developing a screenplay for a film set in mid and north Wales in the 1870's with dialogue in both Welsh and England. I don't want to give too much away about it here but the landscape of Wales is integral to the story, as are the themes of Welshness and the nature of the country its self amongst other themes. I have a friend of mine whos just written a script for Netflix helping so once finished if I do try pursue it, I think it's the kind of story that the Welsh tourist board and Welsh film industry might really appreciate. I haven't told many about this idea yet but you're discussion encouraged me to write this comment as it made me think this could be a "right place at the right time" situation for the project. If you do want to hear more I'm up for chatting.

Loved it, thanks for making it happen Nick. He's one of our best and most underrated actors. I'll be honest, I'm not for Welsh independence but proud of being Welsh and speaking it as a first language. But your content about Welsh representation in film, the perception of Wales and it's untapped potential yet to be explored is second to none. Please don't stop making these videos. It's interesting talking about the Snyder Cut of Justice League (can't wait) yet it seems there's a 'Nick cut' of this interview. If there's an extended version it'd be cool to see it! Diolch o galon i ti.

@@TalentSpotter83 awesome. Will be in touch. For me Emyr, independence is a no-brainer to be honest. What I appreciate very much is the chance to chat about it respectfully and disagree, which you seem to understand.

This was a really wonderful interview, so interesting and entertaining throughout. I've only seen very little of Julian Lewis Jones, mostly from Hinterland/ Y Gwyll, I'm excited knowing he's in Justice League (maybe more so in the Jack Snyder cut) and can't wait to check out more of his work. When you two spoke about having confidence in ourselves as a country and the younger generation being important to the push for independence it was honestly inspiring. I don't know if many other friend groups are like mine but all my friends back independence basically haha, and I long for making Wales-based media, and this has put the wind in my sails to actually make it. I look forward to the next amazing video! Gweld chi eto! :)
