It's like McGregor vs Diaz 1 all over again, another historic moment for the record books, another upset in UFC history, Pena was overshadowed by other fighters and whenever her name comes up into the discussion, she was treated as irrelevant. That’s why she’s the GOAT, she goes on an unprecedented reign of winning to the point where she probably doesn’t even remember what losing feels like-and she takes the L like an absolute champ. I really wish Rhonda could’ve done that and had better people in her corner to teach her the value of a loss, because that difference in attitude is gonna prove the difference in their comebacks

Once Holly hit Rhonda’s chin button, she was done. That happens. Remember when Antonio Tarver knocked out Roy Jones Jr? He was done after that. I’m not sure he or Rhonda won another fight…I don’t know if it’s a mental thing of if they physically change after getting knocked out like that.
@lassesuurmunne8340

Exactly, everyone will have a loss eventually and Amanda took it like a champ and showed her respect for Julianna. Amanda is a living legend, she’s done unbelievable things in UFC. Her story was like Rocky’s. And I definitely think she has a good chance to make a comeback in the rematch, she just needs to find the eye of the lion again. Having said that because absolutely love Nunes, Julianna Pena did an insane job! I’m still blown away it, the most legendary fight in UFC history. I’m so happy for Julianna, Nunes beat everyone even Cyborg. And Julianna beat Nunes. Very interesting though that Valentina has beaten Julianna. To me what that means is, to me. That it’s very close at the top. That it could go either way with these insane fighters depending on the day. But in this fight, Julianna simply did better, she was in control. Insane achievement. Julianna beat the best ever. Amanda Nunes will forever be my all time favorite fighter though 💙 people gave her so much hate, people put her down so much yet she proved to the world that she’s an absolute legend and she will always be. But I will not miss a single Julianna Pena match either from now on, what a beast 🙏

Well Pena had the will and heart, was coached relatively well. Leicester also had the will and heart and well Ranieri coached them well. So I can see some similarities. Yeah, there was one point that she laughed off JP's kimura attempt because she thought she was stalemating. And JP wasn't playing either. maybe yes. But it is impossible to always remain at her best. She was reigning for such a long time, and nobody really posed a strong challenge to her. Now this weight class is wide open. Others will be challenging Pena left and right.

Honestly Holm vs Rousey was probably greater just because Ronda was this undefeated face of the UFC & Holly was wayyy more "under the radar" compared to Peña - with just 2 fights in the UFC leading up to the fight. As far as odds go Holly was a much greater underdog at the time.

Incredible fight. I definitely think this will shape up to be one of those all time history making rivalries between two of the greatest warriors. Nunes will come back hard and be ready. It’s exciting to know the rematch will be something truly special.

Man, Pena's stand up was insane. I always thought of her as more of a grappler, but those straight rights were finding their home every time. Not making excuses, but Nunes seemed off. Maybe it was just because Peña wasn't giving her the space she needed to land those bombs. She wasn't intimidated by Nunes at all. Congrats, Champ! Nunes is still a champ even in defeat. I have grown to like her. She's so humble and optimistic. The reason I couldn't bring myself to like Rousey was her disgusting arrogance. People compare her to Conor, but a lot of his antics were for show. He knows how to sell fights. Rousey was a legit conceited brat with an inflated ego.

Nah it was a BIG upset. Prior to this match Nunes has asserted dominance throughout several of her fights. I'm not sure if smarts had anything to do with the fight but Pena is definitely tough as nails. She took shots that would've sent several women crashing onto the canvas. Nunes lost composure when she realized she couldn't drop Pena so easily and Pena seized the opportunity.

I think holm ko over rousey was the biggest upset. At that point rousey was never even challenged and had a perfect record. We’ve seem Amanda lose before. Betting wise it’s up there but I’ve seen -1100 before.

Love Amanda. She flat out lost this fight early on as she got a beat down. It seemed that a loss was inevitable. Peña was absolutely amazing and earned this one. I think when she got hit a few hard times instead of falling back and going for a long war she just tried harder to end it quick, when that didn't work she just gave up. And let her have tatke the win with the choke, no effort to fight it or stop it and she tapped when it wasn't even tight yet.
