The Seven Sees' Gerrad Hall sits down with Best Actress Oscar frontrunner Julianne Moore to talk about her role in "Still Alice" playing a woman with early onset alzheimer's.
Julianne Moore did her homework and nails many of the behaviors of a person with dementia, memory loss, or Alzheimer's Disease. Alec Baldwin - plays denial. Kristen Stewart plays an important role - how a person has a life and with a sudden diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease - she becomes a _family caregiver_. With compassion and patience, Kristen keeps the connection and lives in Alice’s moments as the disease steals Alice’s ability to communicate. Still Alice is a must see movie for adults of any age. Families could gain so much insight!
I can't imagine how they could film it non-chronologically and still give such an emotional and powerful performance (reminds me of the theory of everything). These actors are really talented.
