Dear Julie, I have watched this every day for the last 3 weeks. Your sublime voice and peaceful presence is such a wonderful way to calm the worries of the day. You and the orchestra truly bring out the beauty and genius of Mozart. Thank You.
Stunning performance! Your voice is not only of exceptional beauty, but you sing with an intelligence, elegance, eloquence and articulation that I have rarely heard. Big bravo!
Why are human beings so especially beautiful when they sing to or about God, e.g. with of Mozart or Bach? Thank you so much, Julie Fuchs. In olden days I loved the way Agnes Giebel was singing, now I love yours too.
Very well sung and I appreciate the conductor being very sensitive to the singer and allowing the breaths to be unhurried - it helps the piece retain a sense of calm.
quelle classe quel talent et elle est belle c est simplement un ange qui passe quand elle chante j ai des frissons c est un miracle merci belle Julie !
My mother was a pianiste - so I've only recently discovered the other wonders of Mozart. Like this - never heard it before. Mozart's arias are just soo beautiful, as his clarinet concerto in A minor...they are so emotional, makes me want to weep. Julie Fuchs isj ust brilliant.
This is one of my favourite moments of all time, and you do it amazingly... so sensitive, comfortable, but spot on. As a bassoonist, this is one of my very favourite things to play. Vallon does a great job, as so the other musicians! For everyone, can you post the names of the other musical soloists please? In this year's tough times, and this tough distant Holy Week, this is a great statement of the Incarnation. Thank you so much! I will repeat this over and over.
Arleen Auger, with Leonard Bernstein. They did it as it was intended; a concerto for four wind instruments (flute, oboe, bassoon, and voice) and orchestra! Sadly, in less than three years, Auger and Bernstein would be dead.😥
Dear Julie and Laurence, is there anywhere where this whole mass can be bought, CD or other media, same goes for the coronation mass where i recall having seen you on YT. I have enjoyed your performances a lot of times, and I still get goosebumps of joy listening to this exquisite interpretation of beautiful music. Best regards Anders
To me, this piece separates the few great lyric sopranos from the rest of the pack. It is a real test of technique and musicality, and Ms. Fuchs excels. Brava!
The first soprano I've heard who has even *approached* the great Arleen Auger in sensitivity to this piece! She's not quite there yet, *but* the potential is obvious! Better than Pierson, Bonney and Moffo, Fuchs is my runner up for this Mozart!! Please reference Auger/Bernstein!
