Great to hear & see top artists discuss their works even though they can be way too political ,never criticising countries that do far less for inward immigration such as japan, china, russia, israel.

I can only agree with your first line then you quickly join in on the narrative of negativity as you list countries including lastly Israel that is literally built on immigration besides being the only such ethnic diverse country in the region but also in contrast to land size in miniscule to the other countries mentioned. What's missing in the narrative is that diversity exists because a degree of identity exists that which differentiates from another. Immigration based on diversity alone is to achieve multiculturalism at best yet ultimately to be dominated by a so called liberal view as to conservatism is to preserve aspects of identity. As a mixed identity women of color she is conflicted by the fact that she is born in Ethiopia to a Caucasian American mother though would be viewed at a glance as black. Can say the same thing for Obama who championed this sort of narrative. It's self depreciating actually and does a dis service to what multiculturalism actually is being that external appearances should have zero to do be the content of character of the individual.

I enjoy her work for it's expressionist elements that I very much relate to how ever her political ization as is a media driven leftist narrative reduces her to a mouth piece tool for segregation and anti-American diatribe. For instance her recalling what she referred to as anti- immigration protests is a twist on what in actuality is an orchestrated wave of illegal immigration vs what she wishes to portray as a hatred of immigrants and it's this divisive twist in the linguistic narrative that the corporate elites foster and spotlight. An artist should be known by what they produce vs their religious, sexual or politically related views and biases as simply distracts from the art itself.

haha oh lord, you have issues. but nice imitating a way of writing more connected to culture then to xenophobia and white supremacy. But seriously, people like you are dividing, shouting and having nothing to offer in terms of a better future. just narrow ideas, with a core ideology based on authority and bitterness, thinking backwards. Anti-American, gimme a break, what does that even supposed to mean. And good luck with trying to avoid immigration, the world is a diverse place and will be more in the future, thankfully. Even though the reasons for that are bigger then you can comprehend. And an Artist should be know for what they produce, if that is connected to his or her surrounding (as in this case) and narrative, upbringing or believesystem, then so be it.
