Julio caught 3 passes on 6 targets for 31 yards against Patrick Peterson. Peterson also allowed a 27 yard catch, although it was Justin Hardy who made the catch. Peterson was penalizes twice in the game for pass interference for a total of 5 yards. Who won the matchup? Are Peterson and Julio the best at their positions from the 2010s? 🤔
Patrick Peterson won this matchup, and I strongly disagree with both of those PI calls, you breathe on a receiver and it's a flag. Peterson is a physical DB who did a good job disrupting Julio's routes at the Line of scrimmage or at the top of Julio's route. I also think both players are the best in the 2010s too but there are so much players that can also contend for that title.
I don’t agree with the PI calls I get it but Peterson really got the best of him on the those plays he was such a physical DB with great speed this is a great match up thanks for posting
Our biggest weakness that year was kicker. Catanzaro lost us at least 3 or 4 games. The worst one was that 6-6 tie against Seattle where both kickers missed chip shot field goals in OT
Matthew Hyman you know that who is better is Julio Jones Patrick Peterson is good though but Julio has a better advantage when he use good route running and Patrick Peterson please give me coverage but at the same time you don’t know what could happenBecause Pat Peterson have The unstoppable coverage but. Julio Jones have speed
I like it Two pro bowlers going head to head .Keep up the good work NFL Matchup Highlights .Also can you do a video on Prime time sanders vs Michael Irvin that would really be a good matchup.
Recommendation, football season is starting have you considered getting an intro and maybe an outro? Really helps viewers remember the video and come back for more.
And if ya see this comment and want someone to make thumbnails I’d do it No pay of course cuz it wouldn’t be anything special I just like your videos and I like photoshop
Great matchup. I would give the edge to Peterson cuz I don't agree with those PI flags. When Julio runs a great route and doesn't break it off too soon, he can't be stopped but he honestly didn't try hard enough on that goal line play. Patrick read it all the way.
That goal line PI was bad. A lot of people also think Julio was just speed & power, but dude ran some of the most crisp routes of all time. This was one of the best rivalries too because they had been going at it since college.
Tyler Benlien Julio is much quicker than Calvin Johnson although that’s very debatable but Revis does not compare to Peterson as far as pure athleticism goes although he was a much better player
ApeHead that’s tru but the cardinals actually could of paid his money but they wanted to pay half of it but Tyronn mathieu didn’t want that so they cut him now he doesn’t like the az cardinals
I’m not really a falcons or cardinals fan but as a football fan I don’t like dumb calls but that Pass interference imo was a correct call on the pi calls
a b yeah he pretty much only caught short routes, which are almost impossible to guard for anyone. Most defenders are willing to give up a couple short ones.
Sterling Moore did a pretty good job on Julio Jones earlier that season in the week 3 Falcons at Saints game. Julio caught a 16 yard catch (his only catch of the night) on Ken Crawley (#46) late in the game after being targeted 6 or 7 times.
I wouldnt say Julio lost. He just wasnt the focus of the game. Falcons knew how to torch the defense and it involved Julio being a decoy. Taylor Gabriel ripped through their defense for 2 TDs. It's only a L if the falcons had lost
That PI call in the red zone was absoulte dog shit. Within 5 yards, a corner is allowed to get hands on with the receiver. The route Julio ran was like 2 or 3 yards.
Stfu dumb ass bitch Patrick Peterson bagged that man up in he was the 2nd best db then in Richard Sherman was the 1st imagaine him going against Sherman
