Good afternoon John 92 degrees here in eastern Oregon, and your busy going the hill up.🙃 You made it all the way through the tunnel with no honk................congrats John, man of steel.😁
I have avoided Denver and I70 like the plague for probably 20 years. Lived in Colorado Springs for 50+ years and used 50 or 24 to get to the West or the North. I get on 70 for a few miles at Minturn if going North. Have taken 50 all the way to Grand Junction many times. Can't do that right now because the bridge is out at Blue Mesa west of Gunnison. Might be close to getting reopened. Nice to see the I70 route. I didn't see the Flying Saucer house as you went up 70 out of Denver. Eisenhower Tunnel is amazing. I went through it when there was only one tunnel. God Bless and Keep the Greasy Side Down!
For many years before the tunnel we all had to take the Loveland Pass. Now oversized trucks that are not allowed through the tunnel still have to take the pass route. I would recommend taking the pass in a car but not in the winter months.
