NV Hotshots 10U- Latham won big over Napa Valley Express-Crocker 10U 11-3 on Sunday.
NV Hotshots 10U- Latham jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Julia T drew a walk, scoring one run, Emma L singled, scoring two runs, Stephanee A grounded out, scoring one run, and a passed ball scored one run.
A dropped third strike by Napa Valley Express-Crocker 10U extended the NV Hotshots 10U- Latham lead to 6-1 in the bottom of the second inning.
NV Hotshots 10U- Latham added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when Adisyn R tripled, scoring two runs, and Sophia A hit into a double play, but one run scored.
Stephanee A hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth for the NV Hotshots 10U- Latham.
Julia T stepped in the circle first for NV Hotshots 10U- Latham. They surrendered three hits and two runs (zero earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out four and walking four. Brinley P led things off in the circle for Napa Valley Express-Crocker 10U. The righty allowed three hits and five runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking two.
Stephanee A drove the middle of the lineup, leading NV Hotshots 10U- Latham with three runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Emma L, Stephanee A, Sophia A, Adisyn R, and G each collected one hit for NV Hotshots 10U- Latham. NV Hotshots 10U- Latham had patience at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game. Addison C, Paige H, and G led the team with two free passes each. G stole two bases.
Brinley P and #33 each drove in one run for Napa Valley Express-Crocker 10U. Anaya G went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Napa Valley Express-Crocker 10U in hits. Napa Valley Express-Crocker 10U turned one double play in the game.
